I purchased a vehicle on August 2, 2016 and by Saturday, August 6, 2016, I was sitting on the side of the road with my family because the Serpentine belt was tearing. Needless to say that caused me to be very uneasy with my purchase. At the time of purchasing, the sales MANAGER told me and two other witnesses that my vehicle was certified. I specifically asked this question because it had 89k miles and I wanted some reassurance that I was making the right choice. I also asked about extended warranties due to the high mileage. After the incident on August 6, 2016, I decided to do some research and to my surprise, Sheehy cannot certify my vehicle. This has now added to my poor customer experience. A call was placed to the office on August 8, 2016 and I spoke to the sales manager, Rod, and once again to my surprise; he rudely asked "well if you thought it was certified why did you buy a certified warranty?" (once again I have a witness to hear the sarcasm and unprofessionalism he used during the call) I said are you telling me you did not say that at all and that I along with two other witnesses misheard you? He said yes yall must have misunderstood me. I said wow, let me speak to your manager. His manager got on the phone and once again to no avail, he says well we stand by our vehicles, this is Sheehy. While Sheehy is going to fix the truck and gave us a vehicle to drive in the interim, I have received nothing for the deceptive practices that were used to sell me the vehicle. My husband and I were looking to make another purchase with them but after this experience I would never do business with them again! I would never recommend them to anyone and I will tell everyone I know to avoid going there! After working in the customer service industry for 14+ years, I rate this as poor service on so many levels! I want what I was told I would be purchasing which was a certified [redacted]. Now to find out they cannot produce what they promised to deliver is very disturbing! Rod and his manager showed no compassion and it was very obvious that I was taken advantage of throughout this buying process. Rod was very nice last week when he wanted to make a sell but now this week, he is as nasty as ever! Way to deliver on customer satisfaction! Again all I want is what I was told I would receive, a certified vehicle!

Review: I bought a used 2010 [redacted] on 05/05/2016 and during the signing of contract with sales manager,he never explained to me that the I was gonna be charged $985+$26.10 taxes on Sheehy VIP membership club fee to join.I also wanted to discontinue the easycare 2yr/24000 miles extended warranty of $1200+$31 taxes.the sales manager mr rod r[redacted] hurriedly made me sign the contract since it was late in the evening.I want the above charges taken out of my contract so that I can invest in my car and pay off the auto loan and be able to purchase my own extended warranty w/o duress.

I called to speak with mr rod Robinson sales/finance manager,the following day 5/6/2016 and he was very rude on the phone and told me off by saying "the contract had be finalized and submitted.

I have followed up this matter twice with anther manager, rick garland sales/finance manager and all he tells me is I haven't heard anything from my supervisor since the contract has been submitted and finalized. he continues to tell me that when I hear anything, I will let you know. that to me is unfair business practices just because they are been pushed by Sheehy executives to enroll unsuspecting customers to the Sheehy vip program so that they can get fat bonuses.Desired Settlement: I want this Sheehy vip membership of ($985+$26.10 taxes) + extended car warranty ($1200 + $31 in taxes)taken out of my bill contract immediately. I don't care about what the benefits are in joining it period. I have sense enough to shop around for an affordable service somewhere else.

I want rick g[redacted] sales manager to act on it immediately. don't give me excuses about "the contract has been finalized and I am waiting for my supervisor to instruct me on what to do in regard to your complaint".

Review: On 02/08/2016. Sheehy Auto Outlet in Mechanicsville, VA mailed me a scratch-off advertisement that stated I won a $1,000 cash prize with no other rules or conditions stated. When I attempted, in person, to claim the prize, I was told that my "winning" scratch-off number merely allowed me to compete for the prize, which I did not win. Needless to say they tried to sell me a car, which I don't want or need. I told them that what they were doing was deceptive and they replied that it was "great marketing". I filed a formal complaint with the US Postal Inspection Service for a violation of the Deceptive Mail Prevention and Enforcement Act of 1999.

Definition of Scam: a dishonest way to make money by deceiving people.
