Sheehy Nissan Mitsubishi of Waldorf Reviews (8)

Review: My vehicle was serviced to correct an Air conditioning (AC) problem. My Service Representative [redacted] indicated to me that a hose needed to be replaced to complete the AC repair, I complied. Placed an order for the part as it was not in stock once the pat came in I returned the vehicle so that Nissan could make the need repair. The AC only worked for about three (2) weeks (if that) I returned the vehicle and indicated that the AC repair had not resolved the issue as the unit only worked for about two (2) weeks. The Nissan tech ([redacted]) indicated that the initial repair was not completed properly and in the process of replacing the hose the O-ring was pinched and the coolant leaked out. In the process of the process of rectifying the previous repair delinquency the Tech indicated that the hose of the radiator just popped off while he was looking at it (yeah right). But as they explained this to me they indicated that when the hose popped off the Tech got antifreeze on his right uper arm. so why was his arm in a position to et this anti-freeze on it if he as just looking at it. This does not make any sense to me. Then they tried to change their story when I was not buying it and told the GM an entirely different story, indicating that they were on the side of the truck not where they initially indicated to me the Tech was standing.

Further the GM ([redacted]) talked down to me and said that he did care what I thought and would not make a repair on a 9 year old vehicle and that it was my problem. He spoke to me in such a sarcastic manner it was so unprofessional and inappropriate. I felt I had to let him know that I was not an uneducated person that he was dealing with and I hold a Master's in Business Administration. I could not believe how he was talking to me. He even kind of laughed and chuckled under his breath during the conversation as I was indicating my concerns. GM I think NOT!! GMs don't treat customers like that even if they don't agree with what they are saying. To think I was considering buying another NIssan Armada....I would NOT give Nissan another dollar ($1) or even a penny of my hard earned $$$$ EVER.Desired Settlement: Sheehy Nissan of Waldorf should take responsibility for their actions and make the necessary repair at no cost to me, to make the vehicle whole as when it was placed in their care to rectify a previous problem that they did not correct properly. There has not been any previous issues ever with the vehicle radiator or hoses.

Review: I originally sought information on purchasing a vehicle from Sheehy Nissan in Waldorf MD in late April 2013. After visiting the dealership and test driving the vehicle we decided not to purchase it (it had been in an accident). We ultimately ended up purchasing a different vehicle at another dealership. After our initial meeting with [redacted] he followed up with an e-mail. I asked to be removed from their e-mail distribution list and clicked on the provided link at the bottom of the e-mail. I assumed that would end the advertisements and requests for information. About two weeks went by (mid May) and received another request for information and an update on the status of our search. I informed **. [redacted] that I was no longer in the market for a vehicle and again asked to be removed from his mailing list. I received a third e-mail on May 26, 3013 again requesting information about our vehicle search. I told **. [redacted] to no longer contact me or I would file a formal complaint with the Revdex.com for harassing advertising. Today (June 25, 2013) I have received yet another e-mail asking for an update and more information on my vehicle search. As such, I am sending a formal complaint regarding the harassing nature of their sales tactics and their inability to honor a customer's desire to no longer receive marketing or add campaigns.Desired Settlement: I have two desired outcomes, stop e-mailing me and change your business practice to actually honor the opt-out options provided to customers. I do not appreciate receiving e-mails that are not relevant or that I have opted out of.

Review: On October 13, my car stalled on the road near [redacted], which is quite far from where I live. My car was towed to and serviced by Sheehy. Most of the repair costs were covered by [redacted] due to a recall - my understanding is that oil was leaking from the head gasket onto the alternator causing it to fail. I was told I was the repair was quite complicated, and required them to dismantle the entire front of the automobile. On October 16, I picked my car. I drove it home - which approximately an 1 1/2 hours - and I smelled antifreeze immediately when I got out of the car. I initially thought some must have spilled on the engine during the repair. The next day - my wife told me she smelled antifreeze after using the car. My wife drives the car daily, and the smell continued. The next Wednesday, I was driving in the rain and could smell the odor in my car while driving. Definitely a bigger issue than some antifreeze spillage, and wasn't sure if I should even be driving the car.

I took the car to [redacted], which is a certified [redacted] dealership near my home and where I normally have my car serviced. I explained the recent recall repair and said I was smelling antifreeze. I received a call at work the next day and was told that my radiator needed to be replaced? They told me to call the Sheehy, and see how they wanted to handle it. Sheehy told me they would not authorize the repair without inspecting it themselves. There remedy was to have the car towed to [redacted] for repair, and that they would supply a "loaner" car and they would reimburse me for the cost of [redacted]. They told me that I had to pay [redacted] in order to get the car released, and they would reimburse. Somehow this was the easiest? They refused to pay for a rental, but offered a loaner car. Due to their proximity from my home, I decided a loaner car would be more of a nuisance than anything – so I rented one.

This is taken directly from [redacted]'s service report: "Found Upper Hose Clamp Left Off. Re-attached clamp then pressure tested system. Leak still present. Inspected hose and radiator and found outlet neck on radiator damaged due to someone prying on radiator hose. Deep gauge on neck of radiator..... Recommend to replace radiator and hoses. Customer is having the car towed to Sheehy [redacted]. No repairs done."

Sheehy called the next day, and said that my car was ready, and that they found nothing wrong with it. Huh? How did I go from needing a new radiator to having absolutely NOTHING wrong with my car? I spoke to Sheehy, and said it didn't make any sense. I then called [redacted] - they told me they stand by their technicians. So, I decided to call [redacted], because they paid for the service due to a recall. Ignorantly, I assumed there would be some fungibility between dealerships. They are both certified [redacted] dealerships, and how far from home does [redacted] expect you to drive. [redacted] said they needed about a week “research”. They contacted me the next week, and rather than research - it seemed like they came up with their own version of the story. They weren’t aware that [redacted] recommended replacing the radiator and hoses? They also said there was nothing they can do they were just “liaisons” – I had to work it out with the dealers? Thanks.

After an unpleasant phone conversation with [redacted], I went to pick up my car. Now I was told that they wouldn’t reimburse me for the [redacted] cost, because there was nothing wrong with my car. John - the manager - said I should be angry at [redacted] – because there was nothing wrong with my car –and that they tried to get me to pay for a new radiator. Problem is - I know there was a problem, because the stink got worse after a week – not better. And David (the service rep that handled my car) even said they added antifreeze. I'm pretty sure they simply fixed the leak without replacing the damaged radiator. It is more "cost effective" saying there is no problem – than admitting to damaging my car and replacing the part they damaged.

Now I'm out a substantial amount of money, $122.95 for [redacted], and $218.17 for a car rental for a week. I have been lied to, and am very disappointed with both Sheehy and [redacted] in general.Desired Settlement: I want to be reimbursed $341.12. $122.95 for the cost of [redacted] which was promised when I had my car towed, and $218.17 for the car rent I incurred while trying to resolve the issue with [redacted]. Although my car is not currently leaking antifreeze - I have no idea how for how long. I would like a letter from Sheehy stating that if I do in fact need to have my radiator replaced that they will pay to have the work to be done at [redacted].

Review: I purchase a car from this dealer around May 24, 2014. So you know with a used car you are giving paper tags. I was told that I had to take my own car through DC inspection. I purchased in Maryland but live in DC. Ok so I took it about a week later. Not sure of exact date. Once I return the info about the inspection they would start the process for the tags. A week later I get a call from Ammie S[redacted] stating that she needed a copy of the sales contract which I didn't have. So she calls my credit union requesting it, they couldn't give it to her. So I called and requested the same info to be told that I need to sign a promissary note. I had to wait a couple of days for them to send in the mail. Once I received it and sign it, I sent Ammie a copy by email. Ok I figure they still started the process for the tags. Evidently it was never started because I recieved another call on June 19, 2014, telling me that I need to switch my Driver's License from Maryland to DC. I told Ammie ok but with DC switching to new licenses, they want you to submit original Birth Certificates and Social security cards. I told Ammie that there was an issue with my birth certificate and it took longer than usual to obtain. I did not get my Birth Certificate until July 2, well once I was able to switch over details came up with me having deliquent tickets. I had to pay before getting my license. To make a long story short, my tags ran out on July 22, 2014. Ammie stated she will submit the paperwork then, but never submitted it. The car dealer refused to extend the temporary tags. I am without any tags and my car is getting tickets daily.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology and also be reimbursed for the tickets that are incurring on my car right now after July 22, 2014

Despite the negative reviews for Sheehy Nissan Waldorf I wanted to give them a fair shot. I test drove the vehicle of choice and loved it! I started negotiations and left without it but was later contacted with their best out the door offer. After the FINAL verbal offer I decided to accept. It was a pleasant process thus far. So I arranged a ride to get me there and found a sitter because it's not the place for a toddler and my appointment was at 4pm. I was so excited I made the arrangements happen and got there 30 min early. My new car was waiting for me in the parking lot like I was told. My salesman noticed I walked in and handed me the key to show it off to my friend. We looked, inspected and loved the idea of me getting the new whip. A little while later the offer paper was presented. I reviewed as EVERYONE should do and didn't find the figures in our verbal agreement. Remember, I made arrangements for my baby and had to put someone else out to get me to Sheehy, an hour+ away. The salesman agreed after I showed it to him that it was not what was agreed upon. He then takes it back to whoever and it comes out yet again. Still not right. They were backing out of their verbal agreement. That same verbal agreement got me there, got me to find a ride and a babysitter because I trusted they would honor their word. All I got was a bunch of gibberish, lies, lost time and a broken agreement. Watch your numbers and be careful of their scams to lure you in. I will bypass Sheehy Nissan for my purchase to deal with another Nissan dealer 2+ hours away.

Review: I am not sure whom I should reach out to regarding filing a customer concern/complaint against Sheehy Nissan of Waldorf. I came into this dealership 2 years ago to Trade in a 2005 Acura TL at the time I was upside down in the car roughly 4K, during which time there was a Sales Event for the 2012 [redacted]'s because the 2013s were being debuted. I purchased a Nissan [redacted] 2.5S during that time I added the VIP Package and a Interior/Exterior Paint Protection Plan. I assumed at the time I was receiving a $3500 rebate which would then help with the negative equity. Somehow I then ended up financing 28K (estimate) and I returned 3 days later to discuss things with the Sales Manager and he assured me that I got the best deal. Fastforward, 2 years later I haven't paid down much on the vehicle and now my 2.5S [redacted] is nowhere near worth 18K not even close to 20K and now I am trying to Trade it In only to be told the best they can offer me is around 9K for my vehicle and worked out a "Deal" by adding almost 12K of negative equity into a new car loan with an interest rate of 14% and a car note of almost $900 a month. I have absolutely no idea or clue as to how I ended up going from being only 4K in negative debt from a previous Trade to now 12K in negative equity. Which is deeply upsetting because now I am stuck in a car I truly don't want anymore and Sheehy Nissan and put me in a deeper whole because I honestly believe 2 years ago when I purchased the vehicle I wasn't given a good deal. This isn't the day and age where paying $900 a month for a car note is even fathomable. Of course the logical thing would be to have a hefty down payment I do understand that but I don't think coming up with 10K to get out of a car for me is in my best interest. I plan on of course saving up more money but I WILL NOT be returning to a Sheehy dealership in the future. I do not understand what type of training your salesmen and Managers received in selling vehicles but trying to convince someone that paying $900 a month for a vehicle is a good deal in any way shape or form is bad practices to me. I spent two hours in your store listening to them say they are going to help me and try to "finesse me" into buying a car only to call me the next day and tell me they put a loan through the bank for almost $43,000. This deeply angers me.

Review: I had previously asked them to stop emailing me after I clicked the "Unsubscribe" button. I was told that I would be removed form their database.I only gave them my email address when I needed a price quote, back in November fo 2011. For some reason tey want to keep emailing me even though I have asked them to stop. I informed them that I have already purchased a car, a Hyundai in fact, back in Dec 2011. I went to another dealership because this one was difficult to work with. When I originally gave them my email address, it was for a quote. Sure enough, a week later, multiple emails. I asked them stop then and got no response. This went on for awhile until I CC'ed the Hyundai headquarters on one of my replies. It was at this point they agreed to remove me from their database.I am still receiving emails from them. This is harrassment.Desired Settlement: F'ing remove me from your database once and for all. If you give my email address to anyone else, get it removed!I am sick of this. I will submit a complaint time this happens.

I only had the car 2-3 day before I was giving me problems took it in in less than 2 weeks and it now need a refribush transmission in my new car. Thank you so much for your response to my complaint with Sheehy Nissan. They have resolve my complaint by place a new transmission in the car and giving me Gold Plus coverage for 100,000 miles. They also gave me the first two months car payments. Again, thank you for being there for me.

Blessings.
