Dear RevDex.com Representative,I am the Executive General Manager of Sheehy Subaru and responding to Complaint ID [redacted] .Subaru of America states that if the vehicle falls under outside influence or if the airbag SRS indicator is illuminated, then the inspection process shall terminate... immediately.The customer shall be notified that: -Any modifications and or parts affecting the recall must return to original manufactured parts only. -Existing airbag SRS indicators upon inspection/arrival must be corrected prior to performing the recall and any work.The customer scheduled a Takata inflator recall with my service department. The recall process involves a visual inspection only of the vehicle for aftermarket replacements, tampering or any external influence that may affect a recall repair.The customer's vehicle arrived with multiple aftermarket parts along with an airbag SRS light on.The customer was informed that these modifications and airbag SRS light must be corrected before any work is Continued. obtain the funds immediately, it is our practice to pull the credit of anyone purchasing a vehicle with a personal check as a safeguard. Pulling credit allows us not only to verify the identity of the person writing the check but also the likelihood of the check clearing the bank. The complainant signed the credit authorization form but must have been unaware of this policy.We will mail copies of the Credit Inquiry Deletion Letter to [redacted] and a copy to the customer so that she is aware that this has taken place. [redacted] will review the letter and will notify us within 30 days of the outcome. At that time, we will also notify the customer with the outcome. We do apologize to the customer for the misunderstanding. This was not meant to be deceptive, We understand that it should have been better explained to the customer what the policy was and why. The customer will receive an email from us on Monday with an apology for the Misunderstanding as well as a copy of the letter being mailed to [redacted], Please do not hesitate to contact me by phone at ([redacted] ext.
