They do not stand behind their products. Once they have your money, expect no help if you should have a problem. The owner is the nastiest lady. Look at the google reviews for proof. The furniture has since been put in the basement, and we purchased quality furniture, from a reputable store, for our family room. We will NEVER go back there again. You get what you pay for.

Review: In July of 2013 a freezer was delivered and an old freezer was removed from my home. The delivery team did not attempt to protect my kitchen floor. They moved very quickly, and I had to stop them as soon as I could. They pushed and pulled the freezers into place leaving drag marks on my floor. The floor was not able to be repaired by they people they sent to my home. My floor is a 16 year old floor in very good condition except for the damage Sheely's has done.In order to replace my floor according to [redacted] would be over three thousand dollars. The purchase price April 14,2000 was $[redacted]. Sheely's offered me $[redacted]. I declined. Because of the age of the floor the insurance company's secretary said I did not deserve to have replacement value. A sixteen year old floor is virtually depreciated to the point of having very little value. I tried to get Sheely's legal name by sending my husband to the store. The employees did not show him the information even tho it is required by law to be posted. They wrote a name from another non legal source, so I am having dificulty gathering the information required to take them to small claims court. Their insurance company was supposed to call at the beginning of the week. No one called yet and it is Thursday. I feel they are a big business with lawyers and power and I although being a loyal customer I mean nothing. Just someone to take advantage of because they can. I am powerless. I have A messed up floor because I can not afford, nor should I have to replace it. I feel the same way I felt when my home was broke into and vandalized. This is my story.Desired Settlement: At least get something done before the statutes of limitations have passed. I wonder if thats what they are trying to do. To me the only fair resolution is to replace if they are not able to repair.

Response:

We have tried very hard to work with this customer. The floor is 16 years old and while it looks fine, it still shows signs of wear. The company who installed her floor has offered to strip off the [redacted] she has been using and refinish and wax her floor. They feel this would take of the issue and the other imperfections in her floor from 16 years of wear. She has refused that offer. We then offered this customer $[redacted] which is more than the insurance company would probably offer. She accepted the offer then later refused it. Her floor has 16 years of depreciation and we feel our offer was more than fair. The insurance company has taken over her claim and she has refused to allow the insurance adjuster into her home. We care about all of our customers and we take great pride in being fair and honest. We feel the $[redacted] was a very generous and realistic offer.

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]We welcome the insurance adjuster in our home. We are waiting for them to call us and set up an appointment. They said they would call at the begining of the week. They have not. [redacted] said scratches can not be cleaned away. I have a letter stating that [redacted] attempted the repair as per [redacted] recommendation with the products they were instructed to use. They ran their fingernail in the scratches. [redacted] and I could see that it did not make any noticeable improvement. Your employees made no attempt to protect my property. I regret that my repeated pleas for you to replace what you are unable to repair is annoying you. I sometimes wonder how you and [redacted] would handle this same situation if it were to happen in your home. I have cooperated in every way possible. Would you like me to send you a picture of the damage when the sun is shining? Maybe you would be able to understand why I am so disappointed in your attitude. I did not cause this problem. I have been a loyal customer for over thirty years. I appreciate the opportunity to clear up any misunderstandings.

I would like to say that since having the issues that we had with our furniture, Sheely's customer service especially Sherry Sheely came through for us. I thank them for all they have done for my family and making right by us.

I Purchased a few thousand dollars worth of furniture from Sheelys. They delivered some of the furniture within a few weeks and most pieces were nice. They delivered a defective piece and informed us that they could offer a discount on the piece or fix it. When it came to offering a discount they declined to offer it and agreed to replace the entire product. The replacement had more issues then the first defective product delivered. One of the deliver drivers declined to return it saying there would be a fee to do so. The second dresser they delivered had drawers that were banging together. The deliver driver tried to claim it was from being on uneven carpet. The gruff deliver driver claimed there would be fees to return this as well. One of the drivers was polite and nice and the other driver left banging the furniture down the steps with a heated temper. I would never let this company deliver anything to my house and I would never purchase a product from

Them again. I have been informing my family, friends, and community of my experience. In the end I returned the furniture and they took off a very small percentage for the defects present. I settled with what they offered because it ended the stress and hassle of dealing with the business. In the end I wasn't happy and I questioned the damage that they caused to my house when the driver left pounding furniture around my house. Buyer beware.
