Good afternoon I read the customer's complaint to the Revdex.com I also read the customer's complaint (the same complaint) to the Cadillac Customer Assistance Center and the response given by my service manager, Marty Malone On pages and of GM's Owner's Manual it
states: "The tires supplied with your vehicle are covered by General Motors against defects in material and workmanship under the bumper-to-bumper warranty coverage Wear-out is not considered a defect, and it may occur before the vehicle warranty expires." The tires on MrDominic Brown's Cadillac CTS are run-flat tires The tires are the "original tires" that were on the vehicle when MrBrown purchased the vehicle I spoke with MrBrown today, Thursday, May 2017...and I looked at the tires on his car There is some evidence that he has hit a few curbs here and there...this may or may not be the cause of the necessity to replace the tires It is the opinion of the mechanic, the service advisor, and the service manager that the tires are "cupped" which is causing some rotational noise while driving Trying to figure out what caused the tires to be "cupped" would just be speculation After looking at the tires it is my opinion that the tires also appear to be worn The tires will not be covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty because the tires are not defectiveI mentioned to MrBrown that he may want to contact Pirelli directly to find out if they offer any type of pro-rated warranty on the tires
