on February 14th I met with Mr*** to inspect a scratch which he claimed had happenedThe car was new to Mr***He had recently bought it from a used car lotThe scratch was very light: the type that could be easily masked using waxIt was a long, wiggly line on the driver's
side that ran from just under the mirror to the door handleThis kind of damage is not consistent with car wash spinning brushesIn over years of working in this industry, I have not seen this happenI explained the above to Mr*** while showing him how the spinning brushes on the car was work,and he even agreed that my explanation made senseYet, he still claims that it happened in the washI told him I would show the pictures of the vehicle to the owners and get back to him with a resolutionThe pictures were reviewed by the owners and expertsThey conclude that the scratch appears to be metal on metal damage that was hand applied (possibly by a key)I called Mr*** on Tuesday, February 21st and explained that, as I had said on February 14th, the scratch did not happen in the car wash.Sincerely,Shell at Fishers Landing
