We contacted the customer*** and told her that we would need to replace the radiator, thermostat and spark plugs as it was
ruptured do to the vehicle over heatingShe gave us verbal permission over the phone to go ahead with the repair for $*** ***
When we completed the repair it did not fix the no start problem and it was discovered the over heating did significant damage to the motor and a new or used motor was going to be neededWe nor any other repair facility would have anyway of diagnosing the motor without the radiator, thermostat and spark plugs being replaced first
It is unfortunate that the customer's car was damaged when it overheated, but this is in no way our fault and we have no way of knowing or testing the motor before doing the repairs that the customer told us to go ahead withWe understand that paying the $*** and getting your car back in working condition was what the customer expected and now that that didn't happen we should not have to be held responsible for that and we should be paid for the work we did
We have looked and found the customer a used motor and we are willing to install it and give the customer a substantial discount in our labour rate to do so

We sent a reply to you as well as when the customer came here to get her personal belongings that if she signs the registration over to us we keep the car and she no longer owes us the bill
