Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The Shell Rapid Lube location at *** *** failed to complete the necessary tasks required to provide the services for which they were paidIt was their responsibility to enter the Pass/Fail notification in the Texas DPS systemThey failed to do soIn addition, the documentation they claim to have provided to us on May 24, was never providedThe only document we received was the receipt which clearly states "Safety/Emission Passed"The insinuation that it was anybody else's error but their own is insultingFinally, not only was the entire staff at the location disrespectful, but the gentleman who referred to himself as *** and "a manager of some stores in the area" who I talked to on the telephone was also disrespectfulWe have already spent time waiting in line and getting our vehicle inspected and both the manager at the store and *** stated that they were "doing us a favor" by making us have to wait in line for more than an hour to have the inspection repeated.
At this point in time, the refund for services NOT provided is an absoluteIt is my opinion that the time required by me to get the inspection completed at their location, or another location of my choosing, is of value and their inability to recognize that is a complete failure in regards to customer serviceThis situation could have been avoided had they simply completed the entry of the results in the DPS systemAfter that, they could have simply completed it at the time they were made aware of their error as they and I have the invoice which states that the vehicle passed the inspectionIn addition, an admission of fault would go a long wayHowever, Shell Rapid Lube has lost our business from this point forward, and I will do all that I can to suggest that family, friends, and others also avoid patronage of this establishment

March 28th at approximately 5:40pm I went to the Shell car wash on Fire Tower road in Greenville . I got the $10 wash and pulled up to the wash bay. The attendant guided me on to the track, and I stopped my car and rolled down the window. The attendant said "put your car in neutral and take your foot off the break". I did as instructed - I put my car in neutral, took my foot off the break and rolled up my window. As the attendant went to the box to start the wash, I then looked down at my cell phone and about 10-20 seconds later there was a loud scratching sound and the washer stopped and I was stuck in the middle of the car wash. The rollers that clean your car was wedged on top of my car. The attendant came inside and I rolled down my window and he could see then my car was still in neutral. He tells me to put the car in reverse and he pulled the roller from my car, then I was able to exit the wash. Upon exit I immediately pointed out the damage to the hood of my car. The hood was dented and there was a large 3-4 inch wide V shaped scratch from the headlights to the windshield (pictures available). The manager and some other employee who didn't see my car enter the wash both started accusing me of leaving the car in drive and accelerating, and the attendant who guided me into the wash stood there saying nothing. The manager then showed me a video of my car entering the wash (which I didn't prove anything to me) and he said they wouldn't be paying for damages. By this point I was livid so I went home to calm down, then I called the police. The officer said they couldn't do anything and suggested filing a civil law suit.Desired SettlementI do not have an estimate of damages at this time, but I feel the car wash is liable for damages sustained to my vehicle and should pay the cost to repair. Business Response I discussed with Mrs. [redacted] at length our carwash process. Mrs. [redacted] was shown how a vehicle correctly enters the wash compared to how she entered the wash. Unfortunately she disagreed with us. We can not be responsible for driver negligence as posted on our sign in the back before you pay. I have also talked with her insurance carrier regarding the incident and the reimbursement of damages to our carwash because of her negligence.

Review: My wife, new baby and I just moved to Sandpoint, and our 2 year old car was due for another oil change. Rapid Lube was right by our house, in the center of town, and seemed like a good place to try. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes, they were pleasant, reasonably priced and we had no issues. We had many errands to run, and put almost 100 miles on the car that day, and did not arrive back home until later that evening. Upon arrival we noticed a long trail of drips from our driveway into the garage. After closer inspection we knew it was oil, and in just the few short minutes of being home there were already puddles forming under the car. Immediately we checked the oil level and we had lost over half of what was put in. Rapid Lube was already closed for the day, so all we could do was wait until morning to resolve the leak. While I was at work, my wife and son went in first thing as soon as they opened and explained the situation. The mechanic there had found the O Ring on the filter to be incorrect causing the leak. He explained he would replace the ring with a new one and then refill our oil free of charge. My wife then asked if we could just be refunded the price of the oil change, for the inconvenience of no car, the mess in our garage, and for the potential mechanical damage it could have caused had we not noticed the leak. She was referred to call the Owner, a man named Sydney. Upon explaining to him the situation, she was abruptly interrupted by him saying that if we were not satisfied it was our problem, that oil was expensive and that there would be absolutely no refund and he then ended the phone call. She drove again to the store location to approach him there, he said he was busy and did not have time to talk but then said that she was overreacting and exaggerating, and proceeded to belittle, accuse her and make a scene in the middle of his gas station in front of my son, his employees and other customers. After a shouting match he again turned his back and walked away.Desired Settlement: We paid $62.80 for the oil change, later felt the job was poorly done, and would like a refund as soon as possible.

Review: I received an oil change before driving from Sandpoint, Idaho to Lake Oswego, Oregon. The oil cap was left off of my car, so oil leaked the entire 430 miles driving back. The underneath of my hood, including the engine and all surround parts of the car were soaked in oil and there was very very little oil left by the time I made it to Lake Oswego. This resulted in my having to clean my engine and all the parts underneath my hood and having to purchase 4 quarts of oil to put back in my car.Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded the $65.67 I was charged for the oil change, at minimum. I would also like to be paid for the cleaning of the under carriage of my car, which since I did it myself, was only $5.
