I have been waiting seven months for Ryan to finish a small part of a job his crew had missed. Last March I was told he would take care of it. I guess he didn't say when?
We finish every project otherwise I dont get paid, due to the fact I have never taken money down till 100% complete. Gail's job was done yrs ago. We fixed some old walls another company did, and then buried some gutters. When he called me this yr, HE said he missed a gutter and wanted it added. I dont have time to drive a hour to bury 15 ft of gutter. I said my guys could possibly come do it and he could pay their hours and he agreed to that, but I dont feel it's my mess up one bit. It was yrs ago and he said he missed it. 25 yrs of business, I can't mess people over.
Very professional. Fast, quality work. Wall is a thing of beauty that gives me delight every time I look at it. They also extended that wall to help with a drainage problem. It has been three years and never we have had a problem with the wall.

As a follow up to my review a little over a year ago, Ryan came out and repaired the failed section of the wall. I am fine with the work.
For anyone looking to hire Ryan, his company does beautiful work. We just had a small problem and had some difficulty getting him scheduled to come back out. He was too busy. Eventually it was fixed and we are happy. I would not hesitate to recommend Shems Landscaping fornditire work.
Built a retaining wall. The wall was very nice, but they cut an electrical line and a cable line and refused to pay for the damages. They had called a locating service, but the electrical line was not marked, and the cable line was. I ended up paying for the electrician out of pocket.
Ryan's company built a very nice wall for us. Wall failed in one area. We called him over a year ago to come take a look. He has been out here twice. Last time was early this summer when he stated " wonder why we did it that way, it was clearly wrong". We will work you into schedule later this summer. Right now real busy in LeClaire. Well it's fall and Ryan won't respond to us. Texted yesterday and he asked who this is, when told who it was he stopped answering.
