In August I took my car to Firestone (Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224) to have my rack and pinion replaced On Christmas Eve, I took my car back to the same locationAfter their diagnostic, Firestone advised me that my vehicle's rack and pinion was not fixed properly by them back in August and that it was in need of corrective repair againFirestone advised that my car would be fixed and ready for pick up on Friday, December 26th, however it was not I called the Firestone site on Friday, 12/26/and was informed that they were still waiting on parts and that a manager was supposed to have called me earlier that same morning to notify me of my vehicle's statusFirestone, Eastern Ave advised me that the corrective repairs would be complete by Saturday, 12/27/14, and that the shop would give me a status update by no later than noon on that date Firestone failed to call me with my vehicle's repair status by noon on Saturday, 12/27/ Again, I had to initiate the call to Firestone on Saturday, 12/27/at 4:30pm to inquire about the repair status of my vehicleA Firestone technician informed me that my cushion pin was damaged by another technician and that the part had to be ordered, but that Firestone would complete the repairs on Sunday, 12/28/thus enabling me to pick up my carInstead of waiting for someone to call, I went to Firestone to speak in personTheir technician, [redacted] advised me that my car would not be ready and that they never should have led me to believe that my car would have been ready at that day, Sunday 12/28/ [redacted] informed me that Firestone would compensate me for my inconvenience, and would have a rental car ready for me on Monday 12/29/no later than 8:am Upon arrival at Firestone on Monday, 12/29/14, at the prescribed time I learned that Firestone failed to secure a rental car for me as they had promised The Firestone site never stepped up to take responsibility for their errorI was stranded without any transportation to get to work Inevitably, I was not able to spend quality time with family during this holiday season because I was stuck in the house without my car due to Firestone's poor quality of workmanship and pure lack of customer service excellence Up until Monday, 12/29/14, the only thing this Firestone facility clearly communicated to me was that I should drive my vehicle which was in a further state of disrepairMy vehicle would have no horn or air bags until they could obtain the parts Later that day, I had to fight for a rental car by calling the regional manager, which he provided me with one For a company that prides themselves on communication, honesty, and customer service, I am still waiting to see a reality of it in action! Update: I was told that my car was ready for pick my car up on 1/5/When I arrived at this location they attempted to charge me over $for something they failed to fix properlySecondly, My car was not ready for pick upMy check engine, traction,no steering light were on, and my airbag cover was damagedIn addition, my car was dirty from their shoe marksI had no prior issues with my car before bringing it hereIt has been over days and I still do not have my car backI am beyond frustrated and will never do business with them again
The place is clean which is extremely important to meThe staff was excellent they explained everything to meI was given a reasonable price for the services renderedFor I took my car to different shops and their price was the lowest
