My parents died on Feb 03 and April 16th of ***.
It is February, 2020. Their grave marker is still not in place.
owner refuses to contact me
So far I have had these things happen while doing business with Thom. Shepherd and Sons.
Given the wrong death certificates for my mother.
Not notified when my fathers death certificates were ready when repeatedly asked when they would be ready.
When, in September, 2019 I placed a call to them asking when the grave marker would be placed, I was inform that it was never ordered and could I find MY paperwork and receipt for the marker so that it could be ordered. Was informed that it would be in place by Christmas 2019. Never happened.
Was told my money for the marker would be refunded. Nope! I have asked REPEATEDLY to speak to Mrs. M. S or to have her call me. She refuses to respond.
Other items that have happened during our attempts to lay our parents to rest.
Flowers not delivered to the interment.
Obituary printed first time w/o my fathers photo.
As mentioned above, I was handed someone else's death certificates instead of my Mother's and asked to bring them back to be exchanged.
This experience has been a nightmare. My mother died a year ago this week, and there is still no marker on her grave.
Most resent excuse from Shepherds is that they are waiting for a slab of granite before the marker can be placed. Didn't realize there was a shortage.
I want (and have asked for) a call from the owner of this company. I want an apology and a chance for them to hear what their company has put my family through. I think it reasonable that they refund the $2044.28 for a grave marker that was promised between 6-8weeks, is still missing from my parent's grave as we quickly approaching 10 months since my father's death.
