This hotel charged my company credit card for a stay, in room movie, and meal that did not occur. I booked a night at the Sheraton Raleigh hotel in January 2015 and had to complete their online authorization form which included my name and credit card number. I work for a [redacted] and the bill is paid with tax payers dollars. My stay was on the night of 3/18/15. My school credit card was charged for a stay on 2/27/15 along with an in room movie and a meal. I did not know about the charge until our book keeper and central office staff questioned the charges. When I called to question the hotel staff, they stated that the charges for the stay had been refunded because the hotel was booked through [redacted] and the card should not have been charged for the stay. It took several days to get that resolved and many phone class. The majority of the hotel staff I talked to were helpful, but when I asked for something in writing stating I did not stay in the hotel on 2/27/15, they refused and would not return my phone calls. I contacted [redacted] and they confirmed that a person with my name ([redacted]) booked a night at the hotel on 2/27/15. Basically what happened was the Sheraton used the credit card number I gave them in January to pay for the room the guest with the same name booked through [redacted]. THe school system had to cancel the credit card and I am working with our district office to ensure they understand the credit card wasn't used inappropriately. The hotel is refusing to return my calls or send me the email I've requested. Desired SettlementI want the email I have requested and the hotel to return my phone calls. I also want someone from the hotel to call the school system and explain their error. This has taken a great deal of time that I don't have. After further research we have conclude that our system has merge your name with another [redacted] by mistake. This type of mistake is very uncommon and that's why it have taken this long to follow up with you about this issue. Our goal is to provide our guests with a memorable and enjoyable experience from start to finish and we are truly sorry that we did not carry out this promise. We have refunded the incidentals charges of $44.79. For your time and understanding in this matter we would like to offer you 15,000 [redacted] which is equivalent two free night stay at any [redacted] properties in the United States. If the you aren't a [redacted] member just provide us with a current address and we can sign you up for your free night's stay. Please rest assured that we will do our utmost to better meet your expectations next time given a chance. Charged for extra day rate after stay. Was promised refund of charge on 10/4/2013 which has yet to be put back onto my cardI prepaid for a stay at the hotel through [redacted] from 9/18-9/19. I stayed the night and had to leave abruptly in the morning, so I called the hotel BEFORE checkout time to advise them of my sudden departure to avoid being charged any incidentals. Early on 10/3 (approx 1:30am), I noticed a posted charge for $76.67. I immediately called the hotel where the front desk advised me they had no record of my stay and would have to contact their accounting department. I called them three times between 10/3-10/4 without receiving a call back. I initiated a dispute with my credit card early afternoon on 10/4. Later that afternoon I received a call from a "manager" at Sheraton advising me I had been charged a day rate in error and they would be crediting the money back to my account. When speaking with the credit card company in regards to this they advised they would leave the dispute open in case anything should arise but it should only take 3-5 business days to go back into my account. I reached out to Sheraton again after 6-7 business days had passed and they said it would take 7-10 business days to process. It is now past the 10 business day time frame and I have yet to receive my refund from them.Desired SettlementI am seeking an immediate refund of $76.67 to my credit card or issued a check in the amount as it has been over a month since my stay when I was incorrectly charged!
