Mr [redacted] brought his [redacted] motor to us on May 29th We wrote down on his complaint that it would not idle and re-building his Carburetors is what was written down as what was needed to make it runMr [redacted] approved the set price of $for the work, which is what is charged at our shop to tear the carbs out and replace all seals and the needle as well as clean the rest The Carb kits cost k$for each one This was completedas he was called on 6/7/that it was doneMr [redacted] picked it up and called us again after running it on the LakeHe stated to me the owner, that after running it hours pulling skiers, it had quitWe told him to bring it back.He said the cylinders in side were scored from too much gasAfter we looked at the cylinders, he and I had a 30minutes conversation about the motor My mechanic saw that the cylinders were scored all the way around in the inside, this would indicate that the motor had become too hot and had experienced a lack of oil too much gas or lack of, would cause flaring or uneven bursts of scoring None of this would indicate anything would be wrong with the carbs Mr [redacted] indicatedthat he understood, We discussed what a good working motor in this year would be worth, and we both had come up with 1000- I told him I thought he could get more parting it out on E-bay or Craigs list I believe that his re-built Carbs should be worth about 2-each to someone looking for them for a Black Max I thought we had settled all this on the phone in our conversationI still have the motor, laying on my floor and have not heard from Mr [redacted] I don't believe Iowe any money back since the motor is years old and the oil injection pump failed as they do when used upthis never came up and the motor did run well when it left our shop and for hours respectfully, Kathy T [redacted]

Mr [redacted] brought his 1986 [redacted] motor to us on May 29th.  We wrote down on his complaint that it would not idle and re-building his Carburetors is what was written down as what was needed to make it run. Mr. [redacted] approved the set price of $300 for the work, which is what is charged at...

our shop to tear the carbs out and replace all seals and the needle as well as clean the rest.   The Carb kits cost k$87 for each one.   This was completedas he was called on 6/7/15 that it was done. Mr [redacted] picked it up and called us again after running it on the Lake. He stated to me the owner,  that after running it 5 hours pulling skiers, it had quit. We told him to bring it back.He said the cylinders in side were scored from too much gas. After we looked at the cylinders, he and I had a 30minutes conversation about the motor.  My mechanic saw that the cylinders were scored all the way around in the inside, this would indicate that the motor had become too hot and had experienced a lack of oil.  too much gas or lack of, would cause flaring or uneven bursts of scoring.  None of this would indicate anything would be wrong with the carbs.   Mr [redacted] indicatedthat he understood,  We discussed what a good working motor in this year would be worth,   and we both had come up with 1000-1200.  I told him I thought he could get more parting it out on E-bay or Craigs list.   I believe that his re-built Carbs should be worth about 2-250 each to someone looking for them for a Black Max.   I thought we had settled all this on the phone in our conversation. I still have the motor, laying on my floor and have not heard from Mr [redacted]. I don't believe Iowe any money back since the motor is 28 years old and the oil injection pump failed as they do when used up. this never came up and the motor did run well when it left our shop and for 5 hours.  respectfully, Kathy T[redacted]
