Review: Sheridan Nissan has requested for reimbursement of payment totaling 173.68. The letter informs that the totaled amount is from, " a shortage in the New Jersey tax fee you paid." The letter further states, " Sheridan Nissan was required to pay the additional amount in order to process the tag and title work for the 2007 Nissan Maxima."This consumer has requested for duplicate documentation to be mailed of the address in the system on 3 separate attempts and involved personal' financial director [redacted] and cashier/clerk:Jenny have failed to do so. After arriving to the dealership for further explanation, financial director [redacted] stated the past due balance of 173.68 is the sales tax of 7% not applied to the total purchasing price of the warranty. [redacted] further states the following: price of unit: 15,695.52 +2,500= 18,195.52, this total multiplied by 7% equals the 1273.68. On the copy of the sales agreement or contract, the section for documentary fee or sales tax the total came to be 1112.51. Subtract the the totals of 1273.68-1112.51 is an 161. 17. (16.83 difference between my total and what is requested for payment by the dealership. At the time of vehicle sale I had requested for my payment to be exactly 250.00 and not anything more or the would not have a sale on the vehicle, prior to the payment would have been 252.00 (estimate) which included the sales tax of the warranty being paid over the period or duration of the loan. My current monthly payment 250.00 even.Desired Settlement: Consumer payment of 0.00! Non reimbursement of payment!

Response:

When the vehicle was purchased the taxes were miscalculated by the computer. Upon delivery [redacted] signed a document stating that if there was any mistake with her taxes she understood that she would be required to pay the difference. As a result we notified [redacted], and thoroughly explained what had happened. She then contacted the Revdex.com. We have decided at this time to pay [redacted]'s taxes for her, which should resolve the complaint.

Review: Bought a truck from them on Friday 10/9/15 had to take it back on that following Tuesday 10/13/15 cause hood would not latch right and engine light came on. Find out it had to do with glow plug in number 8 cylinders. It is has been over a week and they have not repaired truck n its sitting a Chevy dealer were its been since 10/14/15 where they dropped it off. I'm going on two weeks and the truck is still sitting there. Plus they took my down payment of $12,500. And still continue to give me the run around about the problem with truck n don't know if they will repair the issues. Truck had a 30 day / 1,000 mile power train warranty from dealer also. Also keep getting run around that they are wanting for general manager to see what he wants to do. It shouldn't take almost two weeks to know what they want to do.Desired Settlement: If not going to fix this problem want my down payment back so I can find a truck else where.

Response:

The vehicle did have a problem and we have refunded the customer and unwound the deal. They appear to be satisfied with this result, but we do apologize for taking to long to make a decision. We have a change in leadership at the dealership and this got missed in the transfer. We are sorry. Dealer Operations ManagerSheridan Nissan

Review: Sheridan Nissan had installed a brand new battery in Nov 2012 and even before a year, the battery ran out of juice. On contacting Sheridan, they did not offer towing service to bring the car to the service store. I had my car towed using my insurance company and they promised to have the car fixed the same day. 3-4 phone calls and I received the answer that "you will be contacted once the car is ready". It was Saturday and service hours are through 4 PM EST. I was told that the car pickup is available till 5 PM and not to worry. I did not receive any phone calls till 4:30 PM and upon calling the Sheridan, Operator informed that the car is not done and all the service technicians have already left. I was not even offered the rental car service. The sales person tried to show empathy but not much of help.

So the complaint is: 1) they did not honor the service window I was promised 2) they did not provide tow service even though battery was under warranty 3) they did not call to let me know that the car will not be done and 4) they did not offer rental car service.Desired Settlement: This is my last service with Sheridan Nissan. I would want an apology, a complimentary service and my car fully functioning first thing on Monday morning.

Review: Purchased a used 2009 Nissan pathfinder with 79300 miles in December 2013. Inquired several times as to weather the vehicle had any accidents and was repeatedly told no. In fact the vehicle was advertised as "certified" dealer stated that in order for the vehicle to be listed as certified it has to have no accidents and go through a 100+ check point. I was not shown a carfax. After several times of being told no accident history, I took them for their word as being truthfull. I recently went to trade the vehicle in and was told my trade value is reduced because the vehicle has been in an accident. I was shown the carfax report that carfax says was reported on their report in October 2013 from an accident that occurred in July 2013. I was told no accidents when I purchased the vehicle in December 2013 despite the dealership having the carfax showing the accident. When went back to the dealership to discuss the matter they said it was my fault for not requesting the carfax. I stated that that they sold the vehicle as certified and was told several times that the dealership stated in order for it to be certified it can't have any accidents so why would I need to see a carfax? I trusted their word. They again repeatedly told me it was my fault for not requesting a carfax and there is nothing they will do. Sheridan nissan sold me a vehicle they dire try said had no accidents despite them knowing it was in fact involved in an accident. Now the vehicle is worth significantly less because of this. Their sales practices are dishonest and disceptive and predatory in nature. They are dishonest and sell substandard vehicles without full disclosure. When I dire try asked about accidents they should disclosed that information. Now all they can do is blame me because I took their word and did not request a carfaxDesired Settlement: Buy the vehicle back for my current loan balance since I can't trade it in for its true value since it has a reported accident.

Response:

I have spoken with the customer about the issue. There is no documentation with the vehicle that states that it was sold certified. I am trying to find another vehicle that we could trade the customer into, but it has been hard because of financing parameters. We are in communication trying to help resolve the matter as best we can.

Review: I received a verbal quote to have my car fixed of $134.00 and was charged $226.67 when I went to pick up my car.Desired Settlement: I would like the $92.67 difference put to my credit card.

Response:

We are sorry that the customer feels we have attempted to deceive him. That being said, our records indicate that Mr. [redacted] quoted the customer the price over the phone, and the customer authorized the work. We have spoken with the customer previously, and he believes that we did not quote him the proper price. That being said, everything our end looks normal. We have the customers signature on the final repair order. Additionally, the customer was given the opportunity to not have the work done at the time, and he chose to have it done.As a result, we believe the customer was told the proper price at the time and opted to do the work.[redacted]Sheridan Nissan

Review: The purchase included a buy-back of a lease (from the same company). I was told that I was receiving all discounts. Two days later I called to confirm this. The new car sales manager assured me I received all discounts. I found out I was due a discount to (about) $825 for purchasing a new car with a leased car. The car dealer got this discount, not me.

Review: I purchased a pre-owned vehicle two weeks ago. I returned the vehicle one week after the purchase was made because of some service issues. I was assured that the service light was on because the Audi dealer needed to give them a code to turn the sensor off. After a few days after the oil light came on along with the tire pressure light. I returned the car back to the dealership and was placed in a car of lesser value and of which I am not comfortable in. I expressed that I was not satisfied and no one seemed to care. I did not get a date or round about date of when my vehicle would be returned.Desired Settlement: I'd like to have a new loaner vehicle of the same value of my car and for the service to be complete and for my car to be in working condition.

We have been working diligently to help rectify the customers concerns. The vehicle purchased was a Used Audi, and we have brought it to an Audi dealer to have it fixed. We also put her in a larger vehichle. Everything seems to be OK.

Review: I had my Nissan Maxima in Sheridan Nissan for service. I needed a wheel alignment since new steering parts and suspension parts had been installed on vehicle by another mechanic. I was originally told when I called to schedule service that there was not enough time that day to do it as they close at 4:30pm and I couldn't get there until 4 pm. The salesman then told me to go ahead and bring it in he will get it done. Upon completion of rushed job the salesman told me exactly" If there is anything wrong with alignment bring it back and we will correct it no problem" . Obviously he knew it was a rush job and may have not been done properly. As the car is a secondary vehicle and rarely driven it was some time later but after only three thousand miles I took it for oil change and was told my alignment was so bad my tires were bald to the point they are dangerous to drive on but only on the inner two inches on both tires. The mechanic went on to explain that a vehicle is supposed to have both front tires " toe in " slightly. Mine were perfectly straight and aligned otherwise but both tires were evenly "toe out". The mechanic also stated this could only happen from bad alignment as any impact could not possibly push both front tires "toe out " evenly then alone not affect other adjustments as well. With the wear on the tires it is easy to see that this had to be out of alignment for the whole three thousand miles to do this damage. After showing it to Jeff Trnka at Sheridan Nissan his explanation was that I immediately pulled out of his shop and hit a huge pot whole that perfectly pushed both front tires out evenly yet some how missed my back tires entirely! Obviously not physically possible. When I confronted him with that, and his employees were laughing at his explanation cause it sounded so stupid and far fetched, he then told me the service manager wasnt there and I would have to speak to him! He then sent me to drive in the rain on bald tires in an unsafe car that was made that way by his shop to take my family including two infants home and possibly have an accident!Desired Settlement: I want my vehicle properly aligned and my two tires that were destroyed by the bad alignment replaced. I also feel [redacted] should be reprimanded or at least have to admit and make up for his negligence, and irresponsibility in his work and putting an entire families safety at risk.

Review: I have taken my husbands 350 Z Nissan covertable sports car to Sheridan Nissan,(which my husband had passed aways unexpectedly) back in April to get it ready for spring/summer at that time I had the works done, which cost me $2,385.00, the following month I took it to get the GPS fixed (cost $440.00) which they installed a new one but it didn't work, I was told they would order another one, it came in was installed then they called me to tell me they needed to order this particular piece for it, then told me it would be $215.00, I complained then they told me that I accumulated points and it would only cost $43.00, then I go in because the service engine light comes on and was told that it was because my gas cap wasn't on tight, I informed the service guy I'm aware of that happening but however the cap was on tight, I come back about the same thing, was told that it was alot of gonk around the nozzle so they cleaned it up and chared me $435.00 for that, the light proceeded to come on then I was told that there was a tiny crack in the air flow system, nothing to be alarmed about, a couple weeks later I driving then my car started smoking and wouldn't start, had it towed to Sheridan Nissan on August 19th, they called me the next day and told me that there was a crack in my radiator, I told them to go ahead and do repair, I was charged $698.00 for that service, drove the car 3 days and the air bag light for the passanger side comes on take it back to them Thursday of August 28th, they gave me a rental called Tuesday September 2nd to check on vehicle was told that they checked around for a used one and to install it would be $900.00 for a new one it would be $1,000.00 with a 10% discount, I began to get very upset, was told that they wold have the manager contact me sometime today. I talked to an auto mechanic yesterday telling them what was quoted to me and was told that it doens't cost that amount of money for airbag replacement. In all I have spent $4,006.00 with this car dealership not happy.Desired Settlement: What I want is not be taken advantage of and if the problem accured because of something they did, I would like it fixed and not charge me for it considering all the money I have spent with Sheridan Nissan
