I received an invoice from ICS Radiology for a claim that was processed and paid by my insurance provider (Humana) 3 months ago.
I received an invoice for $171.00 from ICS Radiology on March 17, 2019 for an Esophagram completed on December 4, 2018 at Midtown Imaging. The claim (#XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX)
was processed and paid by my medical insurance plan on December 13, 2018. I have no financial responsibility for this claim under my plan and ICS Radiology is not permitted to "balance bill" me. This is the second instance in which ICS Radiology has attempted to collect an additional payment after my plan benefits have been applied. ICS Radiology should contact the Humana Claims Office with any questions or concerns regarding this claim and further payment. This issue that must be resolved between Humana and ICS Radiology.

Desired Outcome

Correction of billing practices and cease sending further invoices for services covered by insurance. This is an issue that must be resolved between Humana and ICS Radiology. ICS Radiology must contact the Humana Claims Office. I have no financial responsibility. Likewise, Humana has stated that my plan does not allow ICS Radiology to "balance bill" me. Please honor this regulation and do not send me another invoice in an attempt to collect an additional payment. This the second instance in which ICS Radiology has attempted to collect an additional fee after the claim was paid by my insurance provider.

Thank you for your letter regarding the complaint submitted to your organization by ***. Zotec Partners, LLC provides medical billing management services on behalf Sheridan Radiology Services of So. Florida. As such, I am responding to your inquiry Sheridan Radiology Services of So. Florida:

The $171.00 charge was filed to Humana on 12/11/18 and 01/12/19.
The $171.00 was appealed to Humana on 03/20/19.
Humana's appeals department contacted Sheridan's billing department on 03/26/19 to verify information.
The $171.00 is still in process with the patient's insurance and currently the patient is not responsible for any balance due.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused ***. At this time, we request you close this complaint as we have resolved it in a satisfactory manner.

Being billed twice for xray
Had son's finger xrayed at Midtown Imaging WPB on 4/3/18.

Notified of the xray results by my son's doctor on 4/4/18.

Paid bill online on 5/9/18 to Good Samaritan Med Center:

Getting a second bill and collection threats from a company called ICS located in Indianapolis.

Desired Outcome

Accept payment that has been submitted and cease sending bills and collection threats.

*Sheridan Radiology's bill is separate from Midtown's/hospital bill. Sheridan Radiology is billing for the radiologists portion of x-ray done. The hospital bills for the technical portion only.

1) Prior to this communication I had never heard of Zotec Partners, LLC.

2) The xray results were interpreted by my doctor the day after the xray.

3) I never received any communication regarding the xray results from Sheridan Radiology Services. No service was provided to me by this company.

Zotec Partners bills for Sheridan Radiology's services. A statement was sent on 05/04/18 and a letter on 06/10/18. Neither one of these were returned by USPS.

Sheridan Radiology is contracted with location of service to read all x-rays. The radiology report was sent to the patient's referring physician. Please free to verify this information with the patient's referring physician.

I received your bill ,my first bill. it already states it is 31 days late ,after receiving my first bill ever,also the bill was mailed late .
I received a bill for a service I was never told I would be charged for..First I was treated like a piece of meat with a disease when getting my x ray .Then 2 months later I get a first bill of a service I was never told would be charged for. The bill dated 12/8/17 was mailed late and was not received until 12/18/17.Also you dated it as 31 days late .it was late because of your terrible billing practices .once you send a bill it is current ,then if not paid then it is late ...THIS IS SHADY ON YOUR PART

correction of your fraud billing practices and any patient should be informed of your companies involvement in the x ray process and that 2 bills will be made ,one x ray and one person to read it ,although the doctor does that anyway .i honestly don't see what your company does ,other than charge for a service that the doctor all ready does ???????????????

When registration is done at site of service, each patient signs forms advising the patient there will be other providers billing for their services done. The radiologist statement is the only company billing for the interpretation of x-rays performed. The radiology group is contracted with facility to read all x-rays.

Even the response does not deal with the billing issue .when someone sends a bill it is current from the moment it is sent .you can not make the first bill sent 31 days past due . Hello ? This is illegal rendering services past due before you even Send a bill for them . What part of illegal billing practices does this company not get ???.also I never received any results from my x Ray from this company ?? Nothing but a late bill for a service I never received ? The doctor reads the results not this place . I consider this fraud ,for services never provided and a late bill on top of it . I am noticing my insurance company .

Text messages were sent to the patient prior to statement being sent on 11/1/17 and 11/16/17 so the statement sent sent on 12/8/17 is considered 30 days old as first communication was sent to the patient on 11/1/17. All results from x-ray were sent to the patient's referring doctor via radiology report. Again we apologize for any confusion.

no I received one bill which I went to ics ,then they said it was a different company ,it was paid .the text messages never explained anything at all. not even who it was ,anything ?? as of today 1/23/18 the bill was paid once I received a bill and I still feel I never received any service at all other than a bill for something that was never explained ,provided or is their any proof this company did anything ..why would I pay a bill from a company that never provided a service what a rip off and scam .this business practice should be stopped now . I pay my bills but this company screams rip off and shady business practices ..I never even received any response of the the xray at all ,nothing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!who would pay for nothing ,try no one !! where are my results from this company reading my xray ???????????????????????????????????? I will never ever recommend or go to this place ever ,again
