I bought a car from them , worked fine till they changed my battery and did something to short out the wiring now car wont work and they wont fix it
I purchased a 2011*** on Jan. 31/18 from ***,owner and operator of *** Auto Sales for $10,2222.43. I financed the car from *** paying $182.70 every other Wednesday. On July 3/18 my car would not start, I called *** and he said that it was the battery, that I would have to get a new battery. On July 4/18 I got a boost on my car and took it to *** at ***. Windsor Ont. The machanic would not replace my battery because the battery cadge was so rotten it was almost touching the ground and he said the cable wires were not right either and he was baffled how it even passed saftey. I called *** and after an argument with him , he sent someone to come to *** and get my car with the new battery I purchased from the *** (invoice#XXXXXX) for $138.82 and they would replace the battery cadge and install my battery. He called me the following day and told me something was wrong with my car and that he was taking it to *** at XXXXX Tecumseh Road East Windsor Ont. They did a diagnostic test (Invoice#XXXXXX)and said it needed a new Telematics Gateway Module and it would cost $332.00 + Lab $239.90 . *** called me and told me I have to pay this cus it was not his fault and he doesnt care its not his car. *** paid $135.54 the the diagnostic test and returned the car back to me still not working. Im on a fixed income and am 60 yrs old , so I had to save to fix this part myself. On Aug 10/18 I took the car back to *** to fix it (Invoice #XXXXXX) total cost I paid in cash was $634.95. I brought the car back home and it will not start again.My car worked fine until they changed the battery, and battery cadge, they did something to either the wiring or computer and he will not admit it was their fault and will not fix it. I haven`t even had this car to do a first 6 month oil change on it. I did not have any problem with my car till the battery died andSherwood Auto changed the battery.

Desired Outcome

I want Sherwood Auto to fix the problem with my car and to reimburst me for the cost I already paid so far on this car.

On July 3rd, we received a call from *** stating that her *** would not start, and she wanted it jumped. We had a mechanic head over to ***'s location to boost her vehicle and follow her to the ***. After her arrival our mechanic returned back to Sherwood Auto Sales. Several minutes later *** called us exclaiming she had her battery and charging system tested at the *** and they diagnosed it as needing a battery and a battery holder. We then sent our mechanic back over to her location to pick up her vehicle so we could install them for her, and we had another employee give *** a ride home. In an attempt to keep the customer happy we purchased a brand new battery holder from *** and replaced it with the old one as well as put in the battery *** provided to us, at no charge to the customer. Upon completion of the installation it became apparent that the radio and A/C on the vehicle was not working. Our mechanic who initially picked up the vehicle and brought it back to Sherwood Auto Sales did not attempt to turn on the A/C or the radio when he first drove the vehicle, therefore this problem may have been existent before the replacement battery provided to us by the customer was installed. We then provided the customer with a loaner vehicle as we decided to bring her *** to the *** dealership (***) so they themselves could look at the vehicle. After a diagnostic was done on the vehicle at a cost of $135.54, which we paid, *** determined that the vehicle needed a new Telematics Gateway Module. We then brought the vehicle back to *** and informed her of what was done. That was the last we heard from ***. This is up to *** to repair. She has a warranty through ***, she can simply call them at ***, provide them with her application number (***) and have the issue resolved.

My car still does not work. I now have to have yet another part installed at a cost of $750 . I have to get the car boosted almost 2 times a week since Sherwood Auto changed the battery cage and did something to the electronic parts. This *** will not help me at all, he just keeps telling me " it's not his problem" like I said I had no problem with the car until he took it and changed the battery cage that day

Please to refer to our original statement. This has nothing to do with us what so ever. We sent the vehicle to *** and if you read the report, which was provided to the customer, it states there are no wiring issues on the vehicle , which we paid *** to examine. Please see document with invoice #*** provided by ***. If any issues arise call your warranty provider; ***.

I've had to replace many parts on this car and I don't believe a legal safety was done on this car.
I bought my *** and within the first 3 months all the tires needs to be changed and I brought it to *** because the tires were basically bald so he charged me 200 to put use tires on my car even thought the tires on the car were no good when I purchased it. Then after 4 months of owning the car months I've had to replace a control arm, rear control arm, fuel pump, brakes, tie rod end. I spoke to the garage about these issues but the sales guy isn't interested in dealing with these issues and acts very unprofessional and he's rude whenever we speak. For about the last 6 weeks my car hasn't no been the same and I brought it into the garage and all my brake lines and fuel lines are completely rotted, the garage can't believe this car could have possibly had an actual safely preformed on it. I spoke to the sales guy again and now he didn't want to discuss the issue and he said he's not responsible for anything since I purchased so he said it's my problem. I now have to pay out over 1500 hundred dollars to get this work done so that I have a vehicle to get to and from work. My mother in law called to speak to the sales guy today about these issues but again was rude and said *** not his problem. I called later in the afternoon to ask for a copy of the safely so I can speak to *** about this so called safely and he told me he didn't have copy so no I can't get one. I then called back and he said " oh you're gonna go this route, and said I can get a copy". I never receives a copy when I bought the car which I'm assuming is because it was plated and everything by Sherwood Auto Sales so I never had to go you the ministry or anything with paperwork for the car. I just don't see how's all this could be wrong with the car in this period of time and I feel that the car never received a proper safely to begin with which could have turned out worse if I didn't get it checked when I did for the brake and fuel lines. I understand things need to be replaced and whatever but I don't need believe all this could have rotted in this amount of time without it have already of been bad before I bought the car. It's unfortunate that the sales person at Sherwood wasnt willing to deal with some of these issues and basically only feel that it don't need matter about the issues since I bought the car so he just says they are my problems now. I don't want to see others go through anything like I have because it's costed me a lot of money to fix all these problems plus
lots hours at work since I have had to take the time to go to the garages I start work before they open and not off till the garages are closed. I also don't seem to understand when he said "oh your going to go that way" when asking for a copy of a safety then hang up the phone on me. I called there to talk to him about the the issues and I was willing to work with him if he agreed to do the same but he wasn't interested. I will admit I called him a *** for the way he was speaking to me and my
mother in law but by that time I was frustrated. I now feel as though it's only fair he's reported for all this and if and when he will give me a copy of my safety I will call *** back. Hopefully there is a way your business can help me get some of this resolved with Sherwood. Thank you

Desired Outcome

I believe I should be refunded the money for the brake and fuel lines due to the severity of them and even the garage said they don't see to many of them as bad as mine are. The lines will all be replaced tomorrow morning as I brought it in Monday Jan 15 and the garage had to order a few things because the bleeders all broke when trying to remove them. I feel like the least the garage can do is pay for this as I've already replaces and paid for all the other parts I listed up above.

We at Sherwood Auto Sales have done nothing wrong in the dealings with ***. We have followed the letter of the law as we do with every vehicle, customer, and transaction. *** leased a *** from us almost a year ago on April 4th, 2017, at which time the vehicle had passed a safety which we have a record of. *** was informed on numerous occassions that we have the safety paperwork at our location however he must have been too focused on threatening and verbally assaulting us to hear what we were saying. Under the terms of the contract, *** was required to come in on a bi-weekly basis to make his payment, which he regularly did. At no time over the past year that we saw ***, did he mention having any issue with his brakes, if he had an issue and brought it to us in the first place this whole scenario could have been avoided. Any issue that he had, we addressed in a timely manor and also have a record of, such as with the tires which we replaced for him. *** still has a remaining balance of $316.90 on the vehicle, however as a gesture of good will we are willing to waive the sum of his balance in order to resolve this issue.
