For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I never to him to go *--- himself or say he was lyingHe was very rude and treated me poorly which is why I didn't answer when he called me back because of the way I was treated by himI cannot let an exhaust leak continue to be present in my car as I have a yr old son that rides in the vehicle his health and well being is my top priority which Is why I had no time to play games with a shady mechanic who will give me the run aroundWhen seeing my negative reviews why did he not contact me to try to resolve the issue if he's so worried about it? If it was detrimental to his business he would have tried to make things right and please the customer? I want refunded for the gasket that wasn't changed and for my time and inconvenience and work to fix something he said he did and didn't not the whole jobI don't like being lied to and charged for work that wasn't done and I will write negative reviews to any company or business that would treat a customer this way.

6/20/16 ATTN: [redacted] This letter is in response to a complaint #[redacted] submitted by [redacted]. [redacted] picked his car up after repairs at about 4:00 June 2nd, He called as I was leaving the shop at 5:00. He explained the exhaust seemed noisy, I told him we would have to put it up on a lift...

and look at it for him. He wanted to bring it right down. I was leaving to go to my sons baseball game and yes my hours are 8-5 and I couldnt do it that night. He told me to go *— myself and hung up. My sons game was cancelled due to weather. I called him back to make arrangements he did not answer. We did install 2 new exhaust donuts. They were found deteriorated upon removal of the exhaust in order to replace the clutch. Enclosed is a copy of the receipt for purchase of the replaced gaskets. He says we lied about the gaskets and he cant be sure we did the other work-.. Well if he is still driving his car that should be proof that the work was completed...As it was pretty much undrivable before repairs- So I dont understand how Mr [redacted] could possibly justify a refund of the labor to install the clutch. The fact is the gaskets were replaced and he didnt give me the opportunity to assess the noise. I have no way of knowing without looking at the car; but, giving the customer the benefit of the doubt and without calling him a liar as he called me X think It is possible that a third gasket failed and thats what he replaced. I would normally have considered refunding [redacted] the cost of the gaskets as a goodwill gesture with absolutely no admission of guilt. But; after reading the unwarranted nasty negative internet reviews he posted (the day after vehicle pick up) about me and my company, I decline. These negative reviews can be very detrimental to a small business such as mine in this time of social media. My business thrives because I bend over backwards for my customers. I would have worked with him and his schedule to diagnose his problem. Sometimes we have to work together and around each others schedule to make that happen. Although I highly doubt we had anything to do with his exhaust noise, anything is possible. But, he never gave us the chance to even look at the vehicle a second time. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,We have tried 4 times to contact Ms. [redacted] in an attempt to resolve her issues.4 Messages were left Ms [redacted] has not called back.The Facts:customer self diagnosed the carcustomer called asked how much to install customer supplied used transmissioncustomer brought vehicle...

with replacement used transmission in trunk we installed supplied transmission as instructedI drove it 10 miles as you can see on repair order odometer in 322,923. odometer out 322,933 do not recall how it drovethe car was completed for weeks before she picked it upfor this time it was parked in behind other vehicles in our parking lot the battery was dead when I went to move it out for her to pick up I explained this and explained that I was walking her to her car to make sure the battery held the charge and that it startedSorry if I was short but was simply in a hurry friday afternoon after 4:00 trying to finish workBusiness hours are 8-5 monday- fridayMs [redacted] left a message at 7:35 friday nightI returned the call upon my return to the shop monday morningShe explained her car broke down and she wants her money backI explained we installed a used transmission she supplied to us... and,that we were responsible for the labor only. And, if we installed itincorrectly or the installation had caused any problem at all we wouldtake care of it. But, if the transmission itself or some other componenthad failed it was not our responsibility.Either way we needed to get the car back to the shop to diagnose.I asked her if it was ok to have my tow company call her to make arrangements to pick it upShe said as long as it didnt cost her anything,I explained that if it was an installation problem that I would certainly not expect her to pay the tow.But, if it was a mechanical failure of the supplied transmission or someother component we were not responsible and she would have to pay.And, I explained that the only way to know was to get the car here for athorough evaluationShe declined the towI have never seen the car againI do not even know if it has an actual problem or notIn order to move forward in any fashion whatsoever we need the car here At this point I will be willing to pay for the tow to get It to the shop to diagnose and attempt to somehow resolove the complaintWe need to speak to Ms [redacted] to make arrangements in order to move forward.Sincerely,Jack S[redacted]ShiftRight Transmission[redacted]
