Zero response from office.
June 8th Chris came out a few times to check what the issue was with the leak. On the second visit he determined it was the caulking around the chimney and he removed/replaced with new.

July 25th he came back out to test again after leak continued. Rain kept him from completing the proper test.

Came out July 27 and found the flashing in a corner was leaking. He said the office would contact me to schedule the repair.

August 8, I have yet to hear from anyone after leaving several messages. I tested Chris this morning and he said Dallas would be calling me.

Desired Outcome

At this point and after leaving multiple messages and being patient with Chris and after rescheduling several times im done dealing with this company and their non existing warranty support. I will take my money back and find another company to repair the faulty work.

Mr.,

We did visit your home several times to attempt to locate the leak. After two attempts to determine the cause of the leak and two trips by our tech, it was chimney work was required to stop this leak. Your contract did not involve chimney work. Regardless, chimney stucco was cut out, repairs were made and chimney stucco was reinstalled at no cost to you. I apologize for the inconvenience this *** have caused. Many times other items near the roof such as chimneys, windows, siding and stucco can leak and not actually be caused by a roof issue.

I have left countless messages for them to call me. I was never informed that the chimney stucco would be removed or altered. All this work was done without any written notice or verbal approval. I was never asked if I wanted the chimney altered. The first time they came out, they used two differnet colored caulk and looked terrible. The second time I come home and a portion of the roof was being worked and the chimnney stucco is in peices. No call, no notice of work to be done. Again I call to try and speak to someone and just get a voice mail. I asked Chris; I assume hes there field manager for a number to call and all I get is an email address. Chirs has been great and the only one I have been able to speak to. When I asked about warranty work he gave me their email address.

Their pre sales support was great and were a pleasure to work with. Even going as far as speaking to the insurance for us to go over the work. But their post sales is non existant.

So in the end I was given no options and the work was performed without permission. I have an altered chimney which I did not approve and worse all work was done without written contract or warranty. I need someone to spaek to us and let us know if this work is warranteed. And a written letter of said warranty for the same length as the roof.

Mr.,

Yesterday 9/19/2018 the owner and Kris visited your home and discussed the roof with you. The roof was water tested for 45 minutes and no leaking occurred. Based on your conversation with the owner, you are satisfied with the chimney work. If this is not the case please contact us directly.

I apologize for the issues with communication. I did reach out to you last week and left a voicemail that was not returned. Kris has text messages that indicate you were notified of the chimney work that was needed. We will work to communicate better with you in the future should an issue arise. Thank you very much for your business.

I accept this response with the following condition.

Your customer should not have to file a complaint and place a negative review on Google for you to reach out to them. As stated in the complaint, I called countless times and left voicemails with no reply. You may want to have a talk with Dallas who's name is on the message recording. Also, I did call you back after your message. I texted Chris and he game me Broks cell.

When I spoke to Brok, he said I should have called the the number on the warranty. No excuse for not answering your main line.

Regardless, Brok/Ed came out, checked for leaks and found none. Thanks for coming out and taking the time to call and do a video with me. You showed me where you sprayed water on the roof to check for leaks.

Thanks.

Repair work completed post hurricane. We requested documentation of work completed to submit to insurance. Company refuses to comply with request.
On Monday September 25, 2017 the company Shingle Masters came to repair the roof in areas we were having leaks. The gentleman that completed the work had me sign an email with photos showing leak locations and work to be completed. I requested a copy of this paperwork; did not receive. Sent an email September 27, 2017 asking if there was a charge for the work or if it was covered under warranty; company never responded. Made a phone call to Shingle Masters on October 30, 2017 requesting the photos of leak locations or a summary of the repairs to submit to insurance; response from company was they did not have photos from initial visit. I responded on November 6, 2017 to their email that the paperwork I signed was an email form and requested that they look through their emails to find the information in questions. I followed in email that if the photos were gone and could not be found a summary of the repairs would suffice for my insurance company; no response from company in question. My husband followed up an email on November 6, 2017 informing Shingle Masters that a letter stating repairs were made after the hurricane and where the water came in or even a aerial photo of our house showing location of leaks would suffice; no response from company. Follow up email February 8, 2017 requesting the documentation to submit to insurance and requesting a phone call; no response from Shingle Masters.

Desired Outcome

A summary of the work completed on Monday September 25, 2017; completed on signed letter head for *** Brandon FL XXXXX by Shingle Masters (Dallas or Ed B.). Included in the summary; 1. Location of leaks 2. What was repaired/replaced 3. How water got into home ex: needed to seal around dryer vent and shingles lifted due to nails being underneath (per what was explained to me by Kris). 4. Date of repair. 5. Covered by warranty or not covered by warranty.

Ms.,

I apologize for the lack of communications since you last contacted our office. We did email you and your husband a letter on February 8th stating that repairs were made. Your husband replied to that email stating "Thank you."

Here is a summary of the work as you have requested.

1. The leaks were on the rear of your home, one near a gooseneck vent, another near the garage.
2. A gooseneck vent was replaced and one shingle was replaced at the garage.
3. The leak occurred during Hurricane Irma. Water was able to reach a nail at the garage and blow inside the Gooseneck vent.
4. Repairs were made on our around September 25th.
5. Leaks cause by severe wind or storm damage can be deemed a non-warranty, however repairs were made to your roof at no charge.

Thank you,
Ed B.
