Review: We had a horrible experience with a company variously interacting with us as ShipCarNow.com, ABC Auto Transport, and Reliable Auto Transport, worse than that described in any car transport review I’ve read. Briefly, it took 39 days to receive our car again after it was picked up. It was kept in two storage lots in different parts of the country, one without my knowledge or permission. I was systematically and continuously lied to concerning the status of the shipment. After paying in full when the car was picked up, I had to pay another $720 in order to get delivery. The police and credit card companies were involved, both of whom found in my favor.Desired Settlement: Change in business practices.

Review: I contacted [redacted] on May 13th and scheduled our vehicle to be shipped. He told me that the truck (2006 Dodge Dakota) would be picked up in Idaho between June 9th and 11th and would be delivered to my new residence in Texas in 3 to 4 days and it ended up being delivered 22 days later. I got down to Texas, I did not hear from SHIPCARNOW letting me know anything about the delayed shipment of my vehicle. I called on Wednesday June 11th and left a message for [redacted] to call me back he did not. I called back on Thursday and was told he would call me. Finally on Friday, I left several messages and waited on hold numerous times to talk with [redacted]. My phone calls began at 9 am and finally at 5 pm I finally got in touch with [redacted]. He let me know that he didn't know when the truck would be delivered only that it was in Salt Lake City. I told him to call me Monday morning by 9 am and let me know when the truck would be delivered. [redacted] did not call me back and I had to call him back numerous times in order to get in touch with him. I got in touch with him that afternoon, in which he still stated that he did not know when the truck would be delivered and there was a problem in having it picked up and brought to Texas. Everyone kept telling us the 3 to 4 days was an estimate. However, it was now day 12 and our vehicle was still sitting in SLC. This is not an estimate. I was not told when I scheduled the truck to be transported that 3 to 4 days would be an estimate or there could be trouble getting my car transported. In fact this was the email I got: Thank you for calling back and for trusting me with the shipment of your car. I am attaching the order form for your review and approval. I will make sure is picked up promptly and delivered on time and safely. Please let me know if you need anything else. Signed [redacted](VP of Company)Desired Settlement: The vehicle not being to me on time caused huge problems. I moved my entire family cross country to a new state and because we had our truck transported went 22 days without a vehicle. We had to rely on family members a few hours away for transportation and even had to rent a car to go on a planned trip and take a friend (who helped us move) to the airport. It was a huge inconvenience and cost us over $500 in rentals and gas to borrow vehicles for the 3 week period. It cost me $250 extra to fly down to insure I was here on the day I was originally told me vehicle to be delivered. I am asking for a refund of the $1000 that it cost us for our truck to be transported. I agreed to have the truck transported with the understanding it would take 3 to 4 days and that was not what happened.
