Today, I had someone hack into my PayPal account, charge some men's athletic shoes and ship them to a Russian man via this shipping company who then will forward packages anywhere in the world, using their address for the return. Pretty slick operation ","neg-1

Between July 13 and July 15 of 2016 I had several orders of clothing, children's shoes and electronic items sent from Amazon to Shipito.com in Minden for forwarding on to [redacted]. The total cost of the items is $448.17.In the past I have sent around 12 or so parcels from Shipito without incident, in a fairly timely manner.I requested the separate orders be consolidated into one package and this was completed on July 21st 2016. It was quite a long delay compared to usual and their stated service is that the task would be completed in 24 hours. On July 21st I then requested the new consolidated package be shipped to [redacted] and after 5 days and no advice that shipping had occurred, I enquired with their live chat service who assured me it would be shipped as soon as possible, and that they were very busy in their warehouse.Over the next few days I received no further notice, and after twice more contacting their live chat I was given assurances that my parcel would be shipped. This didn't happen so I then emailed their supervisor email address on July 26 to lodge a complaint and request that the parcel be shipped immediately.I then received a return email to say they would look into it.On July 27, after no further advice I enquired with their live chat service again and was advised the parcel was missing and could I provide invoices for all of the items in the consolidated parcel.I provided these details and enquired once again with their livechat service on July 28. I was informed that their 'Claims department' required me to wait up to 30 days to locate the lost parcel. I requested that a supervisor call me immediately to resolve the issue and was told by the livechat operator that supervisors can only be contacted by email because 'they keep all of their phone lines open for customer service enquiries'. They said they would raise an issue once again, the same as had already been done.So now I am still waiting for this issue to be resolved.Product_Or_Service: Mens Jeans, Childrens Shoes, Childrens jacketsOrder_Number: Package ADAccount_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementI wish to either have my parcel shipped or for shipito to refund me for the value of the items that have been 'lost'.Business Response My apologies for the delay in locating your package. Per our terms and conditions which you did agree to upon creating an account, it does state that if a package should be lost in our facility claims for those may take up to 30 business days, although w strive to find them in less time or resolve the case. After obtaining the appropriate documentation from you on July 26th, we continued the search and found the package on August 2nd and mailed out that same day. Please see the following screen shot. [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)I have received the parcel now in good condition. Thank you.

This company acts as a shipping agent to forward goods from the US to other countries. I signed up with them, then ordered two sealed, non-spillable batteries from a US supplier to be delivered to Shipito for on-forwarding to me. I had reviewed their published policy on shipping restrictions, and no mention was made of batteries. After the shipment was delivered to Shipito they took photographs of the batteries which were emailed to me, I paid the calculated shipping cost and a [redacted] consignment note was generated. Then, I received an email saying they could not forward the batteries as they were dangerous goods. In fact these batteries are exempted from being considered dangerous goods as they are non-spillable. This is provided for by Federal Regulation 49 CFR 173.159A and IATA article 67a.Their initial statement was that none of their shippers ([redacted], [redacted], [redacted] and others) would accept the shipment, but several of those companies have published policies confirming that non-spillable batteries can be shipped by standard airfreight. They then said they had a company policy not to handle any lead-acid batteries, but this policy had not been revealed to me prior to the problem arising. They now want me to return them to sender, which is somewhat difficult since I am not there to do that!Product_Or_Service: ShippingDesired SettlementI would like the company to fulfil the service that it held itself out to provide, i.e. ship the batteries to me. There is no legal or practical impediment to them doing so, and I have paid for the service.Business Response The shipping carriers we use will not accept this shipment as the items are considered hazardous and we are not approved for these types of shipments. We must comply with all regulations set forth by the shipping carriers and we cannot forward the package internationally. These types of shipments are only approved for ground transport, and at this time the package was already shipped to a US address.
