Mr [redacted] of [redacted] filed an insurance claim for a damaged shipment covered with Shipsurance, ShippingEasy's insurance partnerUnfortunately, the claim was initially denied because the shipment was mailed in the original manufacturer box that was branded with the logo of the contents insideThis is against the Shipsurance Terms of Use outlined here: [redacted] All customers who use Shipsurance agree to the Terms of Use each time they add insurance to a package When our customer support team spoke to Mr [redacted] on 8/16/17, we assured him that we'd reach out to our contact at Shipsurance to see how we could helpOn 8/17/17, we received confirmation from Shipsurance that they'd pay the claim in good faith and that they had already contacted Mr [redacted] to let him know (and to explain the Terms fo Use to make sure Mr [redacted] was aware of the coverage requirements going forward) To elaborate, the insurance claim was originally denied as the shipment did not abide by the requirements laid out in the Terms of UseShippingEasy was able to work with Shipsurance to turn the status of the claim around and solidify a reimbursement for Mr [redacted] Both Shipsurance and ShippingEasy representatives reached out to Mr [redacted] to explain the situation and share the good news of the reimbursement [redacted] ***
