The product our company installed on the customers vehicle is called "Paint Protection Film"Our installer Ryan A***, has over years experience installing this product.I remember helping Ryan install this film on the customers car, as it was one of the first vehicles I got to help work onWe installed the film in the impact areas on the front of the vehicle, as well as extra pieces around the wheels on the front and rear of the vehicle, to help prevent the paint from chipping while drivingThis being one of the first of the new body style [redacted] , we had yet to have one in our shop, till this dayWe covered the areas that she requested, and even delivered the vehicle to her house for her, so she wouldn't have to get a rideNot something a company like ours would do, but we like to try to help the customer in any way we canUpon delivery of the vehicle, as we do every customer, we notify them that we would like to see the vehicle back in to weeksThis is so that we may inspect the edges of the film and trim any edges that may be peeling backShe brought it back within to days and noticed a defect in the manufacturing of the film, and requested a piece be replacedWe agreed and did at that time replace the defective piece of film.The customer has not returned since the day we replaced the defective filmThe pieces that she is claiming are peeling, have been peeling for over a year, and are past the point of trimmingHad she came in to our shop in the to week time period we stated to her in the first place, we could have easily fixed the issueNow that it has been peeling for over a year, dirt, water, and other debris have caused the film to need to be replacedThe warranty does not cover damaged film, and because of the length of time she has waited, the film has been damaged.Ryan tried to explain to her that we could still trim the damaged film back, but it has been compromised, and we now cannot guarantee that it won't peel againShe became very upset and demanded that we remove all of the film and give her a 100% refundThis is not something that we are able to do98% of the product is perfect and installed properly, the 2% that is damaged is not the fault of our company.Removing this product could damage the paint that it is covering, and with the few scratches she has put on the bottom side of the bumper, and the couple of rock chips that the film has taken, she has actually gotten much use out of the product, and it has actually done what it is designed to do (protect the paint)Thank you for your time,Tim C [redacted] (manager)Shirts & more, inc
