?Shoe Carnival has showed beyond improper customer service by their employee representatives. Their employees are mentally and verbally abusive toward paying customers. Upon entering the Irving, TX location to exchange their specialized product I was harassed verbally by what was representing the manager while looking for a replacement product. My children, 7 and 2 years of age, and I were scolded causing my children to be emotionally distraught, fear coupled with crying. I was verbally attacked in an isle by the store manager & an employee while my children were exposed to their unprofessional behavior. I repeatedly asked the employees to stop raising their voice toward me & asked them not to speak to me in a manner that they wouldn't like to be spoken to in front of their children or someone they deeply cared for. We were stalked toward the check out lane while I was sercumed to more verbal abuse. I was humiliated in front of customers being threatened for requesting their Regional Managers contact manager since I was denied an incident report. This caused me mental embarrassment in front of other paying customers waiting for check out. To make less of a scene out of submission I apologized to the employees in hopes the abuse would no longer continue. Once I had access to the Regional Manager contact information I proceeded to exchange my product for a new one while paying for an additional pair of shoes and socks. I have reached out to the Regional Manager multiple times but have been unable to resolve or express the actions of the employees. The only thing I can do is face the mental and verbal abuse with humility in hopes that other individuals and/or families do not have to deal with this horrific situation. Unfortunately, Shoe Carnival did not respect my family as a reoccurring consumer which has helped build there brand and Corporation.

Desired Outcome

Contact by the Business I'm in high hopes the Business most importantly apologize to my family in particularly my children who have an under developed age of reason. Their exposure to these types of events create fear and instability of the outside world they are surrounded by that can't be undone.

In response to our customer, it is always our goal to make sure our customers leave our stores happy with their shopping experience. At Shoe Carnival, we strive to provide Total Customer Service & Family Fun all while providing high quality footwear at reasonable prices.
On this particular day I received a call from our customer Ms., she explained to me that she was not having a good experience in our store and her children were upset and crying. While on the phone with her, I could hear the children crying in the background and she mentioned to me that she was still in the store. At this point, I asked her if she could inform me of the issues she was having with our staff as I would be happy to make sure we get the problems resolved. She seemed a little distraught and asked me if she could call me back once she left the store.
After speaking with Ms., I immediately called the store to speak with the General Manager to find out what happened during this customers visit to our store. The manager informed me the children were running throughout the store, displacing shoes and merchandise. She mentioned the staff offered several times to help the family find shoes while shopping as it appeared they were having a difficult time. According to the manager of the location, once the shoes began to pile up due to being pulled out of the aisles by the children, she asked our customer politely if she could ask them to stop. At this point the customer began to feel scolded and asked for the District Managers phone number. I informed our manager the customer called me and I was expecting a called from her once she left the store.
I never received a call back from Ms.. Once I received the information from the Revdex.com, I attempted to make contact with Ms.. I was able to leave a voice message explaining how I would like to make the situation right with her. As I mentioned before our goal it is always our goal to make sure our customers leave with a positive experience and we would gladly offer Ms. an exchange or refund on her transaction. Attached are the email correspondence between Shoe Carnival Inc. & myself. I believe the response is unacceptable due to the fact both the Corporate Office is currently in operation as well as online products are being processed. The District Manager as a representative of Shoe Carnival Inc. is not taking responsibility or honoring his statement with the Revdex.com on "making things right" and exploiting our public environmental situation as an excuse for the prior event. It is embarrassing & disrespectful to my family and future customers.
