Shoe City

I purchased some shoe costing $185 (including tax) on December 9. This purchase was a Christmas present. At time of purchase, I was talking to the cashiers and advised them of this. I was not advised that there was a 14 day return policy without a gift receipt. On January 1, 2020 I attempted to exchange the shoes for a smaller size and at this time I was advised of the gift receipt policy. When I spoke to the manager, named Arteesha, she blatantly told me that she knows that I was advised of the gift receipt policy because it was their policy to tell everyone. I have never seen or talked to her before and she was not present during my purchase. So therefore she had a preconceived idea and was not willing to listen or help me with my issue. This is some outrageous practices especially around the holidays
I would like to resolve this issue as I am and have been a long time consumer and cannot see loosing consumers especially when around holiday spending time. I look forward to some resolution and thank you for your immediate attention in this matter.
