Shoe Repair Reviews (1)

I dropped off a pair of boots to have the zipper repaired. After coming back 3 times, they never did the work and have now lost one of the boots.I dropped off a pair of boots to have the zipper replaced and a pair of my daughters shoes stretched on 11/7. They told me to come back on 11/12 to pick up. I went back in on 11/16 and they were still in the bag not touched. They told me to come back 11/19. I ended up not coming back until 11/30 to find my daughters shoes finished but the zipper still not replaced. I then asked for my money back (which they gave me cash out of the register when I paid with a card) but could not find the other boot. I then came back the next day to see if they had found it, but they were telling me I never gave them the other boot. This is completely untrue. I left them with both boots. They told me the zipper may look a little different then the original, so of course I would leave both boots. I want the zippers to match. Plus I wanted them to clean them up a bit (again requiring both boots). The boots were [redacted] brand and were purchased for over $400. They are no longer sold, however, to purchase a new similar pair I would be looking at no less than &300-$350. This is what I am seeking to remedy the situation. I am not in any way vengeful toward this business or it's employees. I only feel they are responsible for the lost merchandise and that I should not be the one left at a loss. Desired SettlementThe lost item was the match to a pair of $400 boots. I would be looking for a min of $300-$350 to replace with a similar item. Business Response [redacted] called and said that the consumer only brought in one boot and children's shoes to be stretched.Consumer Response This is completely incorrect. I brought in both boots along with a pair of children's shoes. My husband was with me when I dropped off the items and can attest to the fact that both boots were there. All items were delivered in a large burlap bag. The bag was also never returned to me (not that this is a concern) however, this further proves the item is still sitting somewhere in their store, I'm sure in the burlap bag. My concern is, at this point, the item will eventually be found but will never be returned to me. Again, based on lack of memory and a horrifically messy shop, I am out a pair of very expensive boots. This is not good business and should be taken care of by the owners. Final Business Response [redacted] called and said that she found the boot. the consumer's husband came in and picked it up.The husband signed that he had received the boot for his wife.
