Review: I brought a pair of work boots to be repaired back in November 2015. The owner convinced me it would be better to replace the sole rather than buying a new pair of boots because mine were already broken in so I agreed. I told him I would purchase the sole from the manufacturer of my boots, [redacted] because the quality I felt was better than what he offered since they had lasted 2 years. I said that would be ok. After I picked up my boots the first time I noticed the seam was not not sealed on the sole and also the soles were not flush with the boot. After grinding the sole properly he told me the seperation was fine and if there was a problem to bring them back. Rather than addressing the problem the first time I had to bring the boots back within two weeks time. This time he said he would glue the soles again and leave them on the press he had longer this time. He informed me the manufacturer most likely had a heavier duty machine to connect the soles. I picked them up again and they looked ok. Shortly after wearing the boots for work again my job shutdown for the winter and resumed again in late April. I did not wear the boots during this time. Within a month of wearing these boots they completely came apart rendering them useless. I sent an email to the shoe repair and wasn't responded to. I called and was told to come in to see what the problem was. I was told he could not properly glue them because they were not like the [redacted] soles he uses. I asked him why would he take on that job if he knew he could not properly repair my boots. He refused to remedy the situation and was totally unprofessional. I feel he just wanted my money when he recommended replacing the sole and knew it wasn't in my best interest.Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded the cost of labor I was charged to put the soles on or I want the soles replaced with his product free of charge.

Review: On April 18, 2014 I dropped off a pair of tan, tall [redacted] boots to be repaired by Shoe Service Plaza. Our dog chewed a small hole that was in the underneath where the fold is. The owner said he could fix the boot but that he would have to order the white fur lining material. We paid a $30 deposit for the $60 estimated repair and he told us to check back in a few weeks. When we came in again, 2 months later, he told us he still didn't get the material and had to get it from [redacted] in Australia. He told us a second time to check back in a few weeks. I called to check a few weeks later, it was still not done. On Sept. 25, 2014 I called again and told him he has been making us wait for 5 months now and I needed to know what was going on. Did he lose our boots? He said the boots could not be fixed and to come in for the $30 refund. I sent my son down with ticket #When he brought the boots home to me I saw that the boots had been ripped from heel to top and that a hole TWICE The size of the original had been made by him. It looked like he took material form my boots to fix someone else's. I called again and told him he ruined my boots and I needed him to replace them and he wouldn't. I have photos of the hole before and the hole he made after that clearly shows he ruined our $225 [redacted] boots beyond repair. Not only that but he made us wait FIVE months to tell us, he lied to us numerous times and offered no apology or no resolution.Desired Settlement: We would like him to give us $225 to replace the boots that he ruined beyond repair.
