Shoppers Drug Mart is a franchised company that follows corporate direction with respect to advertisingOur flyer and events are determined by our Central Office in Toronto and are to be followed nationally Our flyer and posters within the
front vestibule of the store clearly stated "Get 18,Shoppers Optimum Bonus Points when you spend $or more* on almost anything in the store." Unfortunately our window banner poster did not contain the fine print but the fine print is clearly stated in our flyer and other promotional advertising throughout the storeFrom my understanding, the supervisor gave the customer an option to come in and speak with one of the managers or me (the owner) on Monday If this step would have been taken, we would have come up with a resolutionBecause the window banner does not state "Spend $75, get 18,bonus points" I am willing to offer these points to this customer this one time There is fine print with every event in all businesses and employees are instructed to adhere to the rules A manager would have been the only person to be able to override this circumstance based on their discretionIf this customer could come to the store and ask for Jim O*** , my front store manager, he will be glad to issue him his points with proof of purchase (receipt required)
