I am rejecting this response because: there are major inconsistencies in this letter from the businessI have receipts for oil changes dating back to Not ONCE has there been a change of a cabin air filterAs stated in the letter from the business, the cabin air filter "looked like it had been in the car for a very long time"The owner told me he had instituted this new policy of checking the cabin air filter in January, AS well, since I have been coming to this business since and have all of my receipts, why then was this filter never changed? Not even once"Our employees opened the glove box and moved some wires around, and the car started" No one ever came and told me there was a problem with starting my car, or that they "moved some wires around"So perhaps the wires were pulled down prior to when they "moved some wires around" or perhaps in the "moving of the wires" something became disconnected with the remote startAT any rate, I considered this as them trying to cover up whatever they did, as they were certainly NOT forthcoming on not being able to start my carThey just allowed me to drive off without ever talking to me about itThis could be considered a cover upAfter market remote; I had this installed in if they had been checking the cabin air filter regularly like they claimed, they would have changed it earlier and they should know (in their years time that they supposedly have been doing this) what those wires were connected toSo should have been no problem, right? This business owner was very quick to blame *** *** for the problem, saying that the wires were not tied up in the first placeHowever, how would he know what wires were tied up or not since the car was already serviced by his employees before her ever looked at it? I did give him the card of the technician at *** *** for him to call if he had questionsI went back to the business in question and requested reimbursement for what I had spent in getting my car fixedThe business owner continually tried to blame *** ***, said it was not their fault, would not listen to me or have a reasonable conversation with me, kept waving hands and telling me it was the fault of *** ***,When he offered me reimbursement in future service work I felt that he was doing this because he KNEW that there had been a problem with my car that was caused by the work done at his establishmentI declined, as I no longer trust the company and requested cash reimbursement which he refusedI recognize that this company has been in business in this community for yearsI also know people make mistakes and if feel they should be honest and forthcoming, not place blame on others , and be willing to correct their mistakesAs well, I feel the recommendation from this business that *** *** "should be no charge" was inappropriate, as that company was only fixing a problem they did not cause

I am rejecting this response because:Of course my car was running when I left your businessThat is not the issue, the remote start was not working after I left your shopI have receipts from you business going back to and not once did you check the cabin filterI stand by my knowledge that my remote start was injured or disconnected at your shop, and I request $reimbursement that I paid to *** *** to get it working again

HI:  Complaint  #[redacted]Customer  [redacted]Customer said she has been doing business with SHOP N LUBE for 5 years.  The vehicle is not maintained to factory standards.  Checking cabin air filter is not new procedure to Shop n lube, We have been doing this for 15 years....

 As an owner I have to remind my employees to not to overlook any thing .On  Feb. 2, 2016 We did a full service oil change and checked the cabin air filter as ,part of our normal procedure. The cabin air filter looked like it had been in the car for a very long time. so she had us replace it.  When we finished the car wouldn't”t  start. our employee opened the glove box and moved some wires around and the car started . We did not know the owner had an AFTER –market remote starter installedShe left them came back the next day and accused My employee of knowing we  did something wrong.She  became belligerent ,rude and yelled that we were going to pay the $95.00  she had to pay to have the remote checked. She took her car to [redacted]. to test the system and on their work order they said all was working at this time . They had to raise up the wiring and  Zip-tie it up which should have  done upon installation in the first place.If the installation had been done correctly in the first place there would have been no WIRES  hanging down. But because we were the last ones to touch her car we are to blamed.There were   accusations against SHOP N LUBE of a cover-up.There was no cover on our part.  We offered to reimburse her in future service and she declined.I have been  in business  in Montrose for over 20 years and am well respected in the community and I stand on my no my reputation.  WE are 1 in service in the community  For 20 years.                                                  THANK  owner  BILL  S[redacted]     P.S.   Improper installation by [redacted]. { wiring was hanging down and not Zip –tied up]           Should  be no charge to customer from  [redacted].

Shop 'N Lube Express,                                                    I stand by my first letter. we are not trying to hide anything we did, your car was running fine when it left the shop.
