Shoppers Research Project

I received a letter and a check for $2400 stating if I deposit it into my bank account and then sent them a blank money order from a local post office of $800 apiece, that equals 2400 they would pay me $350. You could tell this was a scam, I wanted this to be reported.

I received an internal email from a credible person at my job asking me to sign up, They advised that I would need to be approved . .A few weeks later I received a check in the mail for the exact amount the previous person reported $2860.50 Certified Cashiers Check .Instructions are for me to deposit the money in my bank account; wait 24-48 hours for the bank to release the funds ; Then go to 2 different Walmart's and get a Walmart gift card in the amount of $500 for each card ; 3 at the first Walmart and then 2 at another Walmart; Then I was instructed to go to my bank and ask for a cashiers check for $10 made out to American Cancer Society.... I was initially excited ready to make money but then when I looked further into the letter there was certain grammatical errors and typos that a legit company would not have made ; for instance the one part of the letter says : This is survey instructional ; or some of the letters or numbers would be bold in the wrong areas ie $2860.50 and the .50 is bold or in the word written wri is bold and the rest of the word is not ; I start to google reputable mystery shopping companies and this company never shows up; This is a scam period point blank. No company would tell you to purchase $2500 worth of Walmart gift cards and then don't tell you where to send them and then this is all for research purposes? Don't get fooled . Walmart and Walgreens conduct their own surveys. Dont get scammed ..
