Review: Shore Point Roofing in Long Branch, NJ installed defective vinyl shakes on my home in Long Branch, NJ. A few months later I informed the contractor [redacted], owner of Shore Point Roofing Company, of the situation and once he inspected the home he agreed that there was a defect in the product and that he would take care of the problem by redoing the entire job. Time passed and numerous calls were made to [redacted] where he kept stating he was going to fix the problem and asked me to meet him, in which I did and he gave me the samples of the new vinyl shakes which [redacted], myself and a neighbor compared together in order to match the color as best as possible so he can start the job. I reached out to [redacted] numerous times with no resolution until he then reneged. I then sought out the help of the company that provided the material to [redacted] and they provided me with the replacement material at no cost to myself to remedy the problem. I then had to find a contractor to install the new vinyl shakes because [redacted] stated he would not perform the installation without being paid a second time. Feeling deceived by [redacted] I hired a new contractor who upon removing the defective siding discovered that [redacted] did not install insulation on the house when he first performed the job leading me to acquire another out of pocket expense for the purchase of insulation that should have been installed when [redacted] performed the first job. The new contractor had to install the insulation purchased by myself and the new shakes provided by [redacted]'s building material supplier.

This whole situation caused undo stress for years to my elderly mother and I would ask [redacted] for his help to remedy the situation so she would not have to stress anymore and he completely disregarded us and left us to fend for ourselves.Desired Settlement: Refund for out of pocket expenses incurred for purchase and installation of insulation never installed by [redacted] and the out of pocket expenses incurred for re-installation of vinyl shakes. I would also like to make other consumers aware through the Revdex.com website of his deceptive practices before anyone decides to do business with him.

Just Simply Letting The Buyer Beware so no one would have to experience what we went through.
