To whom it may concern at the Revdex.com of Greater Cleveland, This response is in regards to complaint submitted to the Revdex.com about our business on 10/19/2017, complaint ID ***. The company’s response to the complaint is broken into sections in order to give proper
context and background on the filed complaintAll responses & attachments have been edited to ensure no names are being used per the direction of the Revdex.com notification. Part 1: Company interaction with resident in question this year. The company has had multiple interactions with resident in question this year and has all of this properly documented in her resident fileEach interaction seems to be a “disaster scenario” in which resident is irate, screaming and emotionally out of sortsIssues range from her neighbors parking too close to the center line in her garage, accusations that her salary checks were stolen from her car, not being able to move into a townhome, and townhomes not being furnished with washer/dryer appliances, (even though her signed lease stated that)Each time however, the company has found a way to work through issues & find solutions with resident. Part 2: Company’s handling of situation after finding out about communication between resident & resident manager on Thursday Oct19th. After the discussion between resident & resident manager, resident came into office and spoke to owner and office managerOwner and office manager were able to calm resident down and told resident we would speak with resident managerResident stated that she hated moving into their new townhome, and wanted to leave ShorehamIn order to accommodate that option for resident, the company sent her the attached document dated October 20th, stating we would allow her to break the lease without any concern for her having to be responsible to re-rent her unit until her lease is upSince resident lives right next to resident manager, and shares common wall with resident manager, and resident explicitly stated she doesn’t want to live at Shoreham any longer and wasn’t happy, the company also offered to pay for movers to help her move if she chose that optionResident never responded to offer. Additionally, company demoted Resident Manager to Operations Manager and has named a new Resident ManagerThe announcement to community to follow later this weekIn addition, we explicitly told the former resident manager that he is not to speak with resident anymore and that all issues related to this resident had to be handled by the new manager or the officeLastly, management is also looking for classes for the former resident manager to enroll into in order to provide proper techniques on how to handle these types of situations better in the futureIf the Revdex.com of Cleveland knows of any kind of classes, we’d gladly accept any suggestions you can offer. Part 3: Former Resident Manager’s detailed account of incident from his perspective. AttachedPart 4: Attached Other part time employee’s detailed account of incident, since he was a witness to the entire encounter. AttachedOur main goal is to help the resident for whichever path she decides to go & will continue to provide a community for her if she so chosesIn addition, our goal is to ensure no additional issues present themselves due to the fact that the resident in question & former resident manager live right next to each other

Some of the issues reported are not true!! I have no idea what they are talking about parking too close to another car in my carport!! As for animals not being allowed st shoreham Park is untrue residents here right now have cats, including the resident manager!! The resident manager told me to just bring my pet!! I always pick up after my animal I am very considerate to my other residents!! My daughter was taking her in the courtyard and she was picking up after her!! The rule only applies to certain residents!! I am going through deep emotional issues in my personal life right now and it’s stressful and hurtful and I’m just trying to get through!!I did jump and attack jim verbally and I’m not proud of it!! but he definitely singled me out!! Who knows why!!i was forced out of my carport this past summer for weeks!! I resolved the issue with the resident I share it with!! but never any compensation or letter from management on that matter!! As for the missing checks I did find them!! The shoreham has had burglaries in the past with cars in the carport, I remember getting a letter stating to make sure and lock up your vehicle!!i have been a tentant here for years and I have never had these such problems before!! I was happy and content with daughter I come and go quietly! I am hardly ever here, I’m quiet by nature!! I loved my fellow residents in my building and would help them anyway I could!! Yes I have had problems in my new townhouse, my dishwasher flooded the dining area!! Because he didn’t assemble it back right and than they called the plumbeR I had to call the office and tell them about it than they sent duraclean over to clean and extract the water!! Jim never checked back until days later and that was to tell me I need the dryers!!my monoxide detector went off twice and that was alarming!! They did replace it!!my tub fills up with water when we use it, they are trying to fix it that’s a problem!! It really has been one problem after another maybe that’s why I’m irate!! I’m not getting treated fairly!!that’s the truth I pay rent of a month they have said they are going to put a pet agreement in place soon! I have called and asked so many times and they know that!! taken my animal to a relatives house until they do so!! But other people have pets here!! I will try and work my differences out with management, and watch my own conduct and behavior and try and never loose my words like that again!! But these are real issues and it’s disappointing!!

Regards,
*** ***My tub is still filling up the when me or my daughter shower!! I have only lived in the townhouse since september 1st of this year! I do not floss my teeth in the shower, neither does my daughter!! the former tenant lived there for plus years! I have the same bathtub he used!!! that was never replaced and yes I can show you a video of this!! I deserve a tub that dose not fill up when we shower,it is a slipping hazard as well!! they have attempted twice to fix it! I called the office about this last time, which makes times now,I even bought my own remedy, and informed them of this,it worked for a short time and I am back to square one! I pay dollars a month in rent and the problem is still not rectified.this is why we pay rent,so any problem occurring should be reported and fixed! it would be great to have it fixed as it is a slipping hazard!!I have not heard from this again on this matter but I have informed them problem does exist!!

That information was received on 11/14/2017. That same afternoon, resident gave permission for landlord & plumbing company to enter unit on 11/15/2017. On 11/15/2017 at 9:15AM, landlord, plumbing company owner, head plumber all inspected tub. Videos were recorded prior to performing any work. No standing water was witnessed. Office filed videos in resident files. As a precaution, your spout was replaced. Video was taken again after spout replacement. Again, no standing water witnessed & tub is fully operational. Plumbing Company to submit their report to office to file as well. We recommend that going forward any other maintenance related issue be raised to our office for quicker response time, as we do not know when Revdex.com got the complaint, and how quickly Revdex.com turned around and shared said complaint with the company.
