First of all when we spoke with the client we stated that we had indeed served one of the parties in the past in which we stated we knew where the one party lived The client stated she was looking to serve the daughter of the party I just mentioned She had no valid address for the
daughter The Sheriff also had this service prior to our office and they could not obtain service from what this client told me This was a "continuance" from original court date because the party could not be foundI did a skip trace and found several addresses and then Requested confirmation from the Post Office in Peoria as to the address being "good" so we could attempt service I would like to add that this takes some time to get responses from our local post office We then spoke with the step father or Father of the party we were looking for and he told me where his daughter worked I then informed the client and they immediately went out and confronted employees of this business I simply stated to her if you happen to drive by this gas station see the car of the party we were looking for parked at the store/station to let me know and I would run out there immediatelyI did not ask them to confront anyoneThey also told me that the party worked at a local bar for her mother and our client was driving by the bar on occasion to see if her car was at the bar We were not running them all over town as she impliedI informed her that I did get confirmation on her mail going to her mothers home yet her Father/Step Father stated she did not live with them By Law I can not leave a document with anyone if they state "she doesn't live here" The Client was not happy with that and I understand this yet we can not leave the documents if we are told the person does not live at said address.She also called me one day to tell me they saw the party we were looking for at a local bar out and confronted her and a physical fight almost broke out.Every time I did get a "lead" she was grateful and told me to follow up I would be texted daily as to what I found out If I did not text her immediately I would get an angry text soon to follow And then when the "lead" would turn out bad she assumed the worst on our behalf that somehow we just were not doing our best.We just were not seeing eye to eye and we stated we were closing this matter and no charge would be sent to her I want to add between the paperwork and driving all over town I had some fees involved She was constantly accusing me of not doing anythingI literally "wished her the best" but stated we were closing this matter We also have all the texts that were sent back and forth so please advise if anything else is needed.I have been in Business over years and this is the 1st time we have ever "dropped" a client. She accused me for having a conflict of interest with one of the partys and she claimed that is why we would not serve her documents We had no conflict as we had never been hired by that party --- we had only served them on a separate matterAt this time we had not collected money and I had $in fees accumulated yet I felt these people were getting very aggressive towards us and the party we were trying to serve
