I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined
that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Even though the company responded to the report of the claim within hours, Rockingham Insurance did not get an answer regarding the claim to me until a full month later I was told a month after the accident after calling multiple times that I would have to file an insurance claim through my insurance for the claim to go to arbitration I should have been told the result a lot sooner than one month The company also did not talk to the driver of the vehicle from the accident in a timely manner, they only spoke with the driver's mother

Rockingham initially responded within hours and followed all proper procedures investigating the details of this claim and bringing it to the proper resolution appropriately

This is in response to the complaint submitted by *** * ***, who filed a claim for fire damage to her dwelling electrical panel to Rockingham Group on Friday the 21st of August at approximately 9pmOn Monday August 24th, 2015, *** ***, an adjuster with Rockingham Group Insurance,
contacted Ms.*** to discuss her lossThe inside electrical panel was damaged due to fire and a majority of the electrical systems were not working properlyAn electrician from *** *** *** had been out to inspect the damages. Mr*** obtained an estimate from Ms*** submitted by *** *** *** that included the cost to replace the breaker panel for an amount of $4,975.18. In addition, *** *** provided an estimate in the amount of $8,to replace the central air conditioning system and heating system. Mr*** explained to Ms*** that based on the size of her existing panel and the number of circuit breakers that needed to be replaced, the estimate from *** *** appeared to be much greater than the usual and customary costs to perform that type of electrical repairMr*** offered to obtain the services of another electrician to obtain an estimate for the cost to replace the fire damaged panel. He arranged for temporary housing for Ms*** until the panel could be replaced and power restoredHe assigned the claim to an independent adjuster, *** ***, with *** *** ***. Mr*** inspected the loss on Tuesday, August 25th and arranged to have a certified electrician verify the damages and estimate the cost to replace the panel. The estimate to replace the panel by an electrician from ***, a local contractor, was approved by Mr*** in the amount of $2,on August 27th with instructions to proceed with repairsDue to scheduling issues, Ms*** was not able to coordinate with *** *** for the panel replacement until Friday the 4th of Septemberthe panel was replaced on September 4th, but the electrical inspector was not available to inspect over the Holiday weekend. Mr*** explained to Ms*** that she needed to coordinate with the electrical inspector to have the inspection performed. The inspector showed up at her home unannounced on Wednesday the 9th of September and was not able to perform the inspectionOn Monday, September 14th, Mr*** with *** *** informed Mr*** that Ms*** was able to get the panel inspected on Saturday the 12th of September and *** *** *** restored power to the home on Sunday the 13th of SeptemberMr*** made contact with Ms*** on Wednesday, September 15th to determine if there was any other damaged equipment at her home. She advised that the air conditioning system and the overhead exhaust fan on her stove were not working properly. In addition, she had spoiled food in her freezer and refrigerator.
