Agreement was for him to paint in the days then to give the check back if the job was not completed by thenI had no choice but to keep offering him the job because he would not give me my money backNone of the work outlined in our agreement has been performedAt this point I just want my $deposit back

I have already tried to work it out this guyHe refusesWhy should I be out because he changed his mind and decided that he just doesnt want it done right now and doesnt want to pay for it anymore

Dan *** with DBA Show Me Painting took my $deposit on 2/18/and failed to show up to do ANY of the workHe refuses to return the deposit
Summary of Complaint: *** ***, with Show Me Painting, took my $deposit on 2/and is refusing to give me a full refund after not doing the job
Details: *** *** with Show Me Painting was hired on 2/to paint the house and was given a $depositon 2/at 9:30am He immediately left and cashed the check at 10:00am That day he was going to come back to the property to power wash the house but failed to show up I was not upset that he didnt show up later that day to power wash as he mentioned this might happenWhen he didnt show up to power wash I called him and we agreed that if he didnt start working the next day I wanted to cancel the job The whole point of signing a contract on 2/was to have the house ready for 2/and 2/so the priming and painting would be done when it was going to be 70+ degrees

This happened in for one2, I was in contact with *** the husband on multiple occasionsFirst, *** asked that I would paint their basement for the deposit and I agreedTime went on I did not hear from *** till almost a year later.Then *** was asking if I had anything of value to tradeI
offered what I had to trade and he didnt want itTime goes on again and didnt hear from *** since, untill almost another year later his wife, *** contacts me demanding the money be returned and started making threatsIt has been over years since This incident occured and they made very little contact with me except for when I stated they contacted me.It has been so long they cannot even make a claimWhich is why she is now making these compliants over yrs later

Agreement was for him to paint in the 4 days then to give the check back if the job was not completed by then. I had no choice but to keep offering him the job because he would not give me my money back. None of the work outlined in our agreement has been performed. At this point I just want my $600 deposit back.
