Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: We were misled about the cost of the meat It was closer to $a pound When we made the first call to Show Me Steaks, the company did not offer to exchange the meat that was bad but tried to pay us which was way less than we had paid In order to resolve this dispute they need to exchange the steak-burgers (boxes), center-cut filet (boxes), center-cut ribeye (boxes) We originally turned in this complaint because the steak-burger was rotten (smelled like fresh cow manure), the other steak which we had used (ribeye and filet) was tough) Since the meat was bought from a delivery truck, they will need to bring the meat to my home, and they need to call first so they know we will be home Sincerely, [redacted]

I responded to the customer the first day I received a voicemail Per our clearly written policy; we can not give refunds on perishable items. I offered to exchange any product they were unhappy with. We have a year gaurentee on our productsI explained to the customer we cannot
resell a perishable item, especially once they take posession of our product.we will Gladly exchange the product I unfortunately can't say why they had steaks that were tough, and an issue with our burgers We sell 4,lbs of meat a Week, sometimes there can be a quailty issue and that's why we have our guarantee. We purchased meat off of one of Show Me Steaks Drivers on April 9, We tried a few of the different cuts of meat and were completely unsatisfied with the quality It smelled bad, tasted funny, texture was spongy, and tough to eat I sent a message to the owner on *** He contacted me fairly quickly offering an exchange for premium meat(which I though I was buying in the first place) We purchased two cases of seafood also that when thawed smelled rotten to the point that my children gagged when walking in the kitchen He gave me a day to possibly exchange and that time line came and went Then he just stopped communicating with me I would like to resolve this issue with an exchange for meat that is edible

We bought steaks and steak-burgers from Show Me Steaks Cn May 13, The steak-burgers were bad When the package was opened, the odor coming out was like cow manure When they were cooked, the kitchen and rest of the house smelled horrible, like fresh cow manure was everywhere About 1/grease came out of each burger They were not steak-burgers but more like grease-burgers We were afraid to eat them because of the possibility of e-coli On June 14th we called the company about this The man we talked to sounded very nervous He offered us $and I said that was not enough Then he offered $but I told him he could do better He told me he would send a man to my house the next day That was the last I heard from them We called the company on Friday, June 17th They would not answer the phone We left a message but they did not respond We called again on Monday, June 20th and they still would not answer the phone The steak-burger cost us $

1)I did not like sales tactics, i.ecoming to door last summer with all kinds of excuses *(last box of meat,pushy, kept reducing price
2)I called police dept after they lelicense to sell
3) I called company to check on sales person, etc
4) I called company several months ago-meat toughTold it would be replacedNever heard from them again

The Business never contacted me again to try and resolve the problemWe donated the meat to a food bank

I have told her this multiple times.  There was nothing wrong with the product.  She agreed to the price and got a free freezer.  She agreed to this and wrote us a check.  We cashed it and 5-6 days later she said her husband got out of the hospital and she asked for a...

refund.  We are in the food business, so we cannot resell product that has already been at a customer's house.  It was not a high pressure sales tactic and she was happy with the purchase when she made it.  We do not do cash refunds.  We will exchange the product as we have a one year guarantee.  She is upset about it and I am sorry about that, but we cannot accept the return for a refund.  I wholesale my product to the reps who work for me, and their commission is in the sale of the product, so there's no way I can refund that.  Our policy on her receipt, brochure, and website all say no refunds, only exchanges if it is about the quality of the food.

I used a driver who is not an employee.  I have called the consumer and she told me the driver tried to sell her a freezer because hers was no good.  She apparently let the food thaw out which made it turn black.  I am willing to give her a case of chicken and pork.

I am rejecting this response because:  We were misled about the cost of the meat.  It was closer to $11.00 a pound.  When we made the first call to Show Me Steaks, the company did not offer to exchange the meat that was bad but tried to pay us which was way less than we had paid.  In order to resolve this dispute they need to exchange the steak-burgers (3 boxes), center-cut filet (3 boxes), center-cut ribeye (3 boxes).  We originally turned in this complaint because the steak-burger was rotten (smelled like fresh cow manure), the other steak which we had used (ribeye and filet) was tough).  Since the meat was bought from a delivery truck, they will need to bring the meat to my home, and they need to call first so they know we will be home.
