Showroom Transport Reviews (25)

12/31/2015We understand that the customer is aggravated and is using the Revdex.com as a place to vent personal feelings.  The complaint is filled with extreme emotion and ridicule. The head of our company had received many phone calls from the customer.  Initially, he...

requested pictures of the customer's backyard so he could assess the situation.  These were not provided.  The head of our company made himself available for the phone calls from the customer a number of times. In this response we are including a letter from the driver explaining what he encountered with the delivery situation and the cause of the damage to the lawn & grass area in the backyard.  On recent days there had been downfalls of rain that softened the soil and caused the tires of the truck to sink into the earth.  The driver had driven where the customer requested he drive.  The customer was told by the head of our company that we are not paying for repairs.  Sincerely, Mina L

I am rejecting this response because:  We had to go to our credit card company to get the refund.  This business would not respond to us either by email or phone.

I have had nothing but trouble from the beginning. They are over priced and rude! I spoke with Ty and he hung up the phone on me twice. Not once, but twice! Very unprofessional and makes rude comments. I will never use this service again and I will never refer them to anyone. They said they would pick up my car on a Friday (which I had paid the storage fee for where it was sitting up to that day) then they didn't get it that friday and nobody informed me or my husband about it. It was to be picked up on the saturday and wasn't. Then on the monday. I called on Monday and it wasn't picked up and he said tomorrow. This place is very unprofessional and will NOT do the service you pay for! The "customer service" is terrible. RUDE RUDE RUDE!

Review: The advertisement of this company lead me to believe that my 27 sailboat would be safe and 100% covered in the case of an accident. As a matter of fact, they leave the entire claim process in an accident to the insurance company of the subcontractor that they hire. In my case, they had an insurance adjustor come out and make an evaluation of the boat after it had come off of the trailer on the highway. Their adjuster claimed the vessel and trailer were worth over $13,000 less than what my surveyor said the vessel and trailer were worth just 54 days prior to the accident. Their solution was to meet in the middle, which still left me $6,875.00 short of what the vessel and trailer were worth.Desired Settlement: I expected to receive the value of the boat and trailer if there was an accident. (As per their advertisement and phone conversations with the company owner) My survey was made 54 days before the accident and it clearly stated the market value of the boat and trailer were $35,000. My desired outcome would be to receive the other $6,875.00.

It is unfortunate what happened to his 1970s boat. The customer did have an appraisal for over 30k. This is true, yet he did not release it to anyone until he realized the insurance company was only going to give him what he actually just paid for the boat. He purchased the boat on line from across the country. We arranged the shipping for him.The insurance adjuster looked up many boats similar to that boat and all were valued less or the same. The customer wanted 55,000 for the boat all the way through until the insurance company would only offer him what he paid for it.Once he disclosed a survey he had just before he purchased the boat, the insurance company offered him an in between amount of his appraisal of the boat and what he actually paid. In the end the insurance company gave him 6,000.00 more than he paid for it... And then even offered him the boat for free back. (some places quoted - only 10k to fix it).Again, it is unfortunate what happened, yet he is trying to make a huge profit off of insurance. This is why insurance rates are high. So I will not give him another dime. He got his money back in full for the transport, he got more money then he just paid for the boat. So he definitely got the actual value and more.He is trying to tear my company apart online. He got paid, wants more. It is a a shame he was trying to commit insurance fraud.I will turn all information over to the lawyers if he persists on trashing a company while he was trying to commit fraud.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: It is true that I origionally asked for $55,000.00 as this was the cost that was quoted to me from the manufacturer to repair the boat. I thought that a company had to repair the merchandise they destroyed. The origional offer of taking it to a repair shop near a lake in Nevada was unacceptable do to the damages recieved. I do not know exactly how they came up with a repair cost of $10,000.00. However, all the topside stantions, and extensive cabinetry damage was sustained as well as over 50 feet of caprail would have needed to been replaced, in addition to the bowsprit. There was also a fuel rupture some where, so the engine would have had to been pulled out, then the fuel tank (located under the engine) then all the fiberglass work then everything reinstalled and realigned. None of this takes into account the cost of the triple axel trailer that the boat was riding on. The low value of one of those trailers is around $5,000-6,000. I attempted to contact the insurance company and the surveyor on several occasions and no one ever asked me if I had a survey of the boat before purchasing it (which I did have done). Also, I am not quite certain why it matters, but this was not just a purchase over the internet. I flew out to inspect the boat myself prior to the purchse. The insurance survey did look at five other boats that were of the same age. However, the origional price they ycame up with was nearly a thousand dollars less than the least expensive boat they found and NONE of those prices indicated wether or not they included a trailer or not. This is kind of a big deal when establishing the value of these boats because of how much they weigh. As well, the insurance surveyer never entered into the boat to see how extensive the damage was. In the end I did receive $28,125.00. The loan that I had was for $28,800. I did receive the boat. The insurance folks told me it was going to cost them $2500 to have it disposed of. They offered it to me true, a broken boat with no trailer on the opposite side of the country. I was able to get rid of it for the cost of moving it. So in the end, I actually saved them money.

It is not quite accurate to say that I maintained that I wanted $55,000 the whole way through. It is true that I asked for that when I believed it was their responsibility to repair the boat. (Keep in mind that that was the quote from the manufacturer to repair the boat, not replace the trailer.) Once it was determined that the boat was a loss and she would not be repaired, I was encouraged to have patience and trust in the system. I did until they told me that they believed the total pre-accident value of the property was $21,250.

On top off this, the owner of the shipping company himself said that I should get the value of the property lost, not what I paid for it. Now he says that it is just what I paid for it. By that way of thinking, then if the boat had been inherited, I should get nothing. As well, when I explained what was going on, the owner of the shipping company said that he would try to make good the difference on a phone call. He made no promises, but said that he would try. Once I had settled with the insurance company, he never called me again to say anything one way or the other.

I do not tbelieve this to be fraud. I am a US serviceman with over 19 years service and am currently deployed. I was trying to give the owner of the company the option to keep his word. I understand that he does not desire to do this and I have said my peace. I am no longer looking for any money from him and am ready to let this drop. I filed this complaint with the Revdex.com and filed one review of his company. Regards,[redacted]

Review: I originally contracted this service company to tow my trailer. I was originally going to use someone local, but decided to hire a national company that is bonded so that if anything happened to my trailer in transit, it would be covered.

The trailer showed up over 24 hours late and with extensive damage done to the electrical wiring and gray-water system. The company I had contracted had hired a 3rd party towing company to perform the tow.

When the tower was asked how it happened, he stated that one of the tires had blown on the trailer and he had tried to continue driving on the remaining tires. As the tire came apart, the steel belts came out of the tire, wrapped

around the main power cord (which should have been properly stowed before trailer movement) and tore it out, a lot of the internal wiring of the camper, the fuse box, and destroyed part of the plywood flooring out from the bedroom.

When asked why a.) the power cord wasn't properly stowed before travel, and b.) why he didn't know to stop immediately after a flat occurred, the driver stated, "I have never towed a trailer before, I don't know why they had me doing this."

The driver asked for me to sign a piece of paper that said that they were not responsible for any damage done by defective tire of which I amended to state that they were responsible for the negligent way in which the trailer was towed.

I have a copy of this.

Prior to the tow, there was no pre-inspection or paperwork filled out or signed which I thought was strange.

I have now gotten a contractor to give a quote on repair work, but he will not start until the insurance adjuster from the towing company comes out. I had my roomate call to ask for an insurance adjuster and the man on the other end

stated that they don't cover tire damage. My roommate insisted politely that the damage wasn't from the tire but from negligence and an inexperienced driver, and was told by the other man on the line, **, "Do I need to drill a hole in your head so that you'll understand what I'm saying."

There should be a recording of the phone call as the phone system states that calls may be monitored for quality assurance, and you will be able to see that my roommate did not disrespect this man ** before he said that.

Either way, the damages will end being close to $1,000. One contractor stated that it would be between 4-9 hours at $90/hr plus $90 service fee. The other contractor stated just for the electrical would be between 4-5 days.Desired Settlement: I desire reimbursement for damages that are a direct result of this company's contracting selection and negligence.

I am not asking for any tire replacement, and I am also not even looking for a partial refund for them delivering the trailer late nor a refund for the service (~$500); just payment of the repairs they caused. This payment can go directly to the contractor hired (I have already gotten two quotes and they can pick between the two).

I am attempting to use the Revdex.com as arbitrator before submitting to small claims court. The jurisdiction of this matter is fully in Texas as the trailer was picked up in Texas, and delivered in Texas. I would like to keep a representative of the company from having to travel across the country to resolve this matter in court.
