Review: I bought a set of shocks for my car from shox.com. Before they arrived to my home, the car was totaled in a car accident. There for I called and told them I wanted to cancel the order but it was shipped out already. When I received the shocks, I called them back to see what options are available to be reimbursed for the purchase. The salesman "[redacted]" told me they could either give me store credit or give me a refund but a 20% re-stocking fee will need to be charged. I called back a few days later and told them I might request a return. "[redacted]" told me it would be better to return them for store credit, so I waited to decide. The next day "[redacted]" called me back and told me he found another buyer for the shocks so he sent me a shipping label and I shipped them straight to the new buyer. The return took forever to be processed and when I got it, there was a 20% charge taken out of the amount. I received $410 out of $539. Called back and "[redacted]" said even though the product never came back to our facility, they still need to do extra paper work. That doesnt make sense to me and the accounting department also agreed when I called them to ask. That paper work cost me $129 of my own money!!! That is outrageous!!! I'm extremely upset how this business operates to take advantage of the consumer and charge a ridiculous amount for restocking fee. But in my case, the product (shocks) never went back to the store so I don't feel obligated to pay a 20% restocking fee.Desired Settlement: I would like the partial refund of $129 credited to my credit card on file with them.

Review: This complaint regards a pair of strut inserts that were ordered 10/18/13. The delivery was within a week. However, the car they were for ceased to run. So a return was set up, and I could sense the reluctance to accept a return. The inserts were shipped back 11/01 via FedEx and received in El Cajon 11/8. I sent an email that was this:

Per our conversation at the end of October, I had sent a pair of Bilstein HD strut inserts back (1994 Saab 900S, 5 door) never installed, for a refund, due to the car not being able to be run. According to the FedEx tracking information, you received the inserts back on 11/8. It is now 11/22.

If the check has not been issued yet, I would like to be issued this refund soon.

I received this email back:

We requested an RGA from Bilstein and they approved a return the week of 12/9/13. If we find a buyer for them before that we'll cut you a check right then.

A month? Well, It is now 12/23. No check has been received as of yet.Desired Settlement: I'd like my refund. In full. Pronto.

Review: Shox.com at the time of purchase of struts did not have a functioning ordering system on their website.

As such, I called their number and contacted [redacted] to order Bilstein B6 Heavy Duty Struts for 2000 Honda Accord.

I received a different product in the mail. Bilstein B8 Sport Struts.

[redacted] won't take these back unless I pay a restocking fee.

This is not my screw up.Desired Settlement: I want my money back.

Review: We ordered shocks from this company in mid-August. They took the money out of the account immediately. We did not hear anything for several weeks so contacted them and they said the product would be available in 1 to 2 months or they could sell us an upgrade. I asked for more information about the upgrade but received no response. We waited again and eventually contacted the company and were told the product would not be available for another 6 months. We then asked for a refund. It has been two weeks now and we still have received nothing. Messages left are not returned, nor are emails.Desired Settlement: Immediate refund and possibly interest as they have had our funds (over $500) for two months now with no progress on receiving any product, communication or refund.
