Dear *** ***:I am writing to inform you of my intentions going forward with the matter of your "water spot on the wall"I returned to your home on Friday February 2, to address your concerns regarding the water spot located on your "study" wallI should note, that this is an area
that you had decided to not hire me to re-drywall or re-paintI wanted to further investigate your concerns so I went to the attic at that timeI did notice that there were water marks on the framing of the roof in the attic study. From what I saw, it looks like the water is coming from that roofThis is a completely separate roof from the work that I had done in April of 2017.With this being said, I have concluded that the issue you are currently having is from a new leakWe have had a very harsh winter that has caused numerous issues of freezing and thawing for homeownersI believe the work that I was hired to do is not to blame and a different roof of your house has now become vulnerableI know that you have had on-going issues with your roof and have needed to hire numerous contractors to make repairsI can understand your frustration on this matter but I stand behind my work and would undoubtedly fix anything that pertained to the work I had completedAs I have previously stated I am not responsible for the new leak, since it is in a new area separate from the work that I had conducted. The total amount for the work that was completed at the *** residence was $4,This price included installing a roof around the chimney, adding flashing on the chimney, replacing siding on the chimney, and painting the sidingI put in an attic access and insulated the exterior attic wallI also installed ventilation in the attic along with tying in a commode vent in an unfinished room in your houseThe $4,reflects all of the work that I had completed in your home.Shriver Construction, LLC was willing to give you a competitive price to fix the new damage occurring in your home, but due to the numerous threats and ultimatums we have been given, we no longer are willing to offer our servicesYou have also verbally insisted that I not come to your home to fix the damage.Sincerely,Jacob* S*** Shriver Construction, LLC

This is a completely separate roof from the work that I had done in April of 2017.With this being said, I have concluded that the issue you are currently having is from a new leak. We have had a very harsh winter that has caused numerous issues of freezing and thawing for homeowners. I believe the work that I was hired to do is not to blame and a different roof of your house has now become vulnerable. I know that you have had on-going issues with your roof and have needed to hire numerous contractors to make repairs. I can understand your frustration on this matter but I stand behind my work and would undoubtedly fix anything that pertained to the work I had completed. As I have previously stated I am not responsible for the new leak, since it is in a new area separate from the work that I had conducted. The total amount for the work that was completed at the [redacted] residence was $4,200. This price included installing a roof around the chimney, adding flashing on the chimney, replacing siding on the chimney, and painting the siding.
