Review: [redacted] Shunk, owner and operator, took a deposit of 3900.00 dollars for contractual agreement to perform work on my property. He misled me by stating the item to be installed initially arrived damaged and he was awaiting arrival of a new undamaged item. After allowing time for another delivery Mr. Shunk then told me a medical condition was the reason for delay and that the item was in warehouse waiting for him to pick it up, deliver and install. Being suspisious of the situation at this point, I inquired as to where he purchased the item. Upon discovery, I checked with the organization on the so-called order placed and was informed that Mr Shunk never ordered an item from them to start. I have contacted him, by phone, on refund of my deposit more than 3 months ago and have not heard from him to date.Desired Settlement: Return of my deposit at this point would resolve his situation.

Review: We hired [redacted] Shunk, of Shunk Construction, to build a roof over our deck in July 2013. At that time, a contract was signed and a deposit of $2400 was given to him to start the job. However, Shunk never came back to do the job. Multiple texts and phone calls were exchanged over the next 4 months, with him giving us excuses as to why he was unable to start the work. He is claiming that our township was to blame for not providing a permit. When I spoke to [redacted] Township, [redacted] County, they had no record of a permit request ever being filed. Finally, in November 2013, we asked for our deposit back. At that time, [redacted] Shunk stopped all communication with us. All attempts to contact him via cell phone, or address have gone unreturned.Desired Settlement: We would like [redacted] Shunk, Shunk Construction to return our deposit of $2400.
