Sickside Tattoo Studio Reviews (1)

I paid artist [redacted] $140 plus a $30 tip up front for services on May 12th, 2015. We completed the first session which was just the outline, and she was to schedule a follow up appointment to finish my tattoo within 2 weeks. The first time I tried to schedule my appointment, the business was closed due to failure to obtain their business license. I asked them to contact me when they re-opened to schedule the appointment, no one did. After appearing in person, the next scheduled appointment was for 5:30 PM on 6/8/2015. I contacted Sick Side and informed them I was leaving work and was stuck in traffic and would be a few minutes late to which I was told there would be no issue. I arrived at 5:45 and was informed that I was too late to start and they would need to reschedule again. I rescheduled my appointment again for 6/15/15 at 1PM. Upon arriving on June 15th, 2015, there was a sign on the door that stated "due to a death of an employee, we are closed." I never received a phone call telling me my appointment was cancelled nor did I receive a phone call attempting to reschedule the appointment. On Monday June 22, 2015, I showed up to Sick Side to ask for a refund. I was greeted with rudeness from both [redacted] and the secretary who insisted that because she wrote my phone number down on a piece of paper, that was evidence she had attempted to reach me. I informed her that I had no missed calls from this number and again asked politely for a refund since it didn't appear that I would be receiving the services I paid for. I was then verbally assaulted and threatened by [redacted] and 3 other employees in the parking lot, that I took as a sign I should leave before things escalated into violence. I am now being threatened with lawsuits for slander by her for posting my opinions and viewpoints about the situation online as well as being harassed by her co-workers.I have been a happily tattooed consumer for over 12 years now, and I have never dealt with anything like this before.Product_Or_Service: TattooOrder_Number: noneAccount_Number: VerbalDesired SettlementAt this point, I do not feel comfortable having this tattoo studio finish my tattoo due to the tension between all parties. I am not asking for a full refund, but only half ($70) as the work was only partially completed. Their refund policy states that they do not give refunds after the services are rendered, however I do not feel this applies to me because services were never completed, and they will not be.Business Response Mr. [redacted] paid $150 for a tattoo on May 12, 2015. Our shop hourly rate is $150. She worked on him for 1 hour and 20 minutes because he would not sit still. At one point he asked his girlfriend to sit on his leg to keep him from moving. The reason the tattoo wasn't competed is because he 'tapped out' at which point he was told to make an appointment for two weeks out to finish his tattoo. He did not stop by the front desk on his way out of the shop to schedule an appointment, he instead, messaged the artist on FB to reschedule. The State of MS was behind in issuing renewed tattoo licenses and our shop had to close the day he messaged her. His appointment was set for Tuesday, June 9 at 5:30pm. He arrived 30 minutes late and was advised that he would have to reschedule due to another appointment coming in behind him. He rescheduled for Tuesday, June 16 at 1pm. One of our Artist passed away unexpectedly and we were closed due to his funeral Monday, June 15 and Tuesday, June 16. I contacted everyone who was scheduled with my four artists on those days. Everyone either rescheduled with me at that time or called me back to reschedule. Mr. [redacted] did not answer his phone and does not have voicemail set up, therefore, I could not leave a message for him (if I didn't try to call him, how would I know he doesn't have voicemail set up on his phone?). I put a message on Sickside Tattoo Studio's facebook informing everyone we were closed and also had a sign on the door. Our policy is no refunds after transaction has been made - it does not state no refunds after services rendered. The following Monday, Mr. [redacted] came to the shop wanting a refund. It was explained to him that we do not give refunds and he could reschedule his appointment and he refused. His claim that he was verbally assaulted in the parking lot is a complete fabrication. I informed him that we do not give refunds but he could reschedule, he got irate and I asked him to leave. Attached you will find a screenshot of a facebook status he posted with comments of 'putting a brick through the window'. Also attached is a screenshot of a message where Mr. [redacted] stated he wanted the refund to go to the grieving widow. [redacted]Shop ManagerXXX-XXX-XXXX
