I cannot say enough how positive my experience was with this company from the initial quote all the way to the final craftsmanship! Upon first calling, Kim makes you feel like a long-time friend; Pete was very helpful and patient during the quotation process and Mike kept me informed as to the status for the siding installation. (Due to one of the rainiest June's in history, the date was challenging to pin down but that is the way this business works and they made sure I knew what was going on.) Dave did the installation and it was only a team of two; it was started before I left for vacation and completed when I came back. I can honestly say my jaw dropped - the before and after is astounding and you can see that Dave takes great pride in what he does! I highly recommend Siding & Roofing Solutions and would not hesitate to contract with them again for any future needs.

Initial meeting with Pete from this company was cordial and pleasant. However, when it came time to make final decisions for the siding job, Pete flipped the script with his lack of professionalism and customer care. My husband and I asked which week might be the worst case scenario to start the job. We understand weather permitting, but asked if he could commit to a target week; pending moving up or back due to weather. This guy was beyond short, brusque, and temperamental. Get your mental health checks ups people! He said, after 5 minutes of a challenging discussion about colors and dates, that we can use another company and he didn't care anymore. How old are you?...and let me tell you, he is not a spring chicken. What an ineffective attitude for business and future relationships. Sad, because we really wanted to do business with this company. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone as long as Pete is the face of this company. Good luck with this dude, family or not...he is bad for business!!
We provided a Free Estimate for Mr. & Mrs. on 6/18/19.
After several phone calls back & forth over some estimate details, a 2nd appt. was made to sign a contract on Sat, 7/20/19.
When Peter arrived at the agreed upon time, Mr. informed him that it wasn't a good time & he'd need to come back, which he did on Mon, 7/22/19.
This 3rd appt. to finalize choices, get the down payment, & discuss the schedule is when they reached an impasse. Our installation schedule right now is approximately 8-10 wks. out & when Peter gave this information, Mrs. said it was too ambiguous & she wanted a date. He explained that it’s not possible – there are too many factors out of our control to pin down an exact date. This information was still not satisfactory, as she wanted a date written on the contract, which we cannot do. We stay in contact throughout the time between contract signing & installation to update as we go, but cannot predict an exact day or week ahead of time, hence the word “approximate”.
NE Ohio just had the wettest spring on record: April had 23 rain days, 7 dry. May had 21 rain days, 10 dry. In a 3 month period (Apr-May-June), we had some amount of rain on 71% of the days. This means that home improvement projects sold during that time period all had to wait for dry weather. Subsequent projects are added to the schedule in order of purchase date – it’s as simple as that. We cannot write something in a contract that we may not be able to achieve & this fact was not satisfactory to Mrs.. She informed Peter that they had other estimates that were 4-6 wks. out & continued to press for a written date on the contract. At that point, after going round & round without any progress, Peter made the decision to let Mr. & Mrs. go with another company that apparently had what they were looking for: a shorter wait.
Walking away from a potential customer is not something done easily or without care. When Peter felt cornered to do something he could not do, there were no options for compromise.
It is unfortunate that the relationship with Mr. & Mrs. ended as it did, but I would be remiss to ignore the personal insults directed at Peter as to his mental health & his age. That was unnecessarily mean spirited & uncalled for. He has successfully worked in this industry for over 30 years and is a respected co-worker & beloved family member.
