Review: On September 17 2012 I made a deposit of $300.00 on a fur coat priced at $3295.00 at Sidney Furs. I made a $300.00 payment on 11/12/12 and a $200.00 payment 1/17/13. Due to a change in my financial situation I contacted Sidney furs on 3/11/12. I spoke to [redacted] and asked about a refund policy and was informed I could receive a REFUND . I called back on 3/12/12 and identified myself and asked for a refund. I spoke to [redacted] and was told that I would receive a return call from [redacted]. I called back later that day and spoke to [redacted]. I was told by [redacted] that at the time they did not have "any money" to give to me. I But they would have money when customers put their coats in storage. Also what they would do if someone came in and made a cash payment, the person could use my credit, they would contact me and refund me the money . I asked [redacted] how would I know and he said "I had to trust him". I also told them that I would also check with people that I knew had made deposits and they could use my credit and they would give me the money. I had no problem with that . Since then several attempts at collecting my money from Sidney Furs have proved fruitless. I have been very patient. The last call that I recieved from them was 4/30/13 from [redacted]. I left a message and and have not received a return call since. Attempts at contacting them since, result in the same statement " We do not have any money". The last attempt at contacting them was 8/8/13.Desired Settlement: Full refund

September 17, 2013To Whom It May Concern, ID [redacted] We at SIDNEY FURS AND SONS would like to address this complaint by [redacted], first our policy is not to return any monies on LAY-AW AYS,but to issue a store credit that can be used by anyone as any smart business would do; however ,**. [redacted] did explain that her situation had changed so I listened and agreed to return any monies that she paid in from proceeds not from storage but from other lay-always of which I have not received. We in good faith held this $ 5600 garment out of stock from Sept 17 2012, to March 12 2013 with no interest added, we gave her the garment at a tremendous discount price. We will still return the monies as agreed upon. WTe at this time have limited funds but will definitely honor this as soon as new funds become available .Our new season begins in a couple of weeks.Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:

In reguards to the response fron Sidney Furs, I explained my situation and was told that I could receive $800.00 back. The coat was priced at $3200.00. I was also told at that time in March that they didn't have any money and if anyone came in to make a payment that they could use my credit and my money would be refunded to me. I still have not received a phone call. This is now November. I contacted Sidney Furs on November 12th and was told by [redacted] that they still do not have any money. I feel Sidney Furs has had ample time to refund my money. I would like to bring this matter to closure as soon as possible. Thank you
