Sid's Tire, Auto & Muffler

Review: I bought a house in Edgerton in 09/13 and brought my vehicle in to Sid's because it was about a block away from my new house and I wanted to keep it local. I took my truck in for U- joints...they said no it's you transfer case (pumpkin.) (Mind you they put my original transfer case back together with the original gasket and wondered why it was leaking!) Sid said I needed a transfer case...so I got one for $350 + tax from the same place they were going to get it...but charge me $900! I was told at another time that I had to have new gears/bearings...so they charge me for those. (Mind you each time my vehicle was at this shop...it sat there for about a week...without being worked on!) Then it was gear shaft and pinion (apparently got bent.) Then we would got it back yet again and again...still with issues never fully repaired. We were always told warranty...no charge...I'll take care of it...NEVER THE CASE! Each time he said it was something else that was wrong-never what the did to it last (so I always had to pay for something.) We got it back on Thursday and had to take it back AGAIN Friday morning for leaking! Which he said again...warranty...I'll take care of it...no charge! Then he said that the mechanics wife is terminal, so maybe he didn't tighten things up all the way...(my thought: if your mechanic is having personal issues and is not working at 100%...THEN DON'T HAVE HIM WORKING ON PEOPLES VEHICLES!) Yet again found myself having to pay for yet another part! This time it's the yoke (the part that connects to the U-joint...the part that I originally brought it in for!)My other vehicle just broke down last night so my fiancé had to drive me to work this morning on the interstate and the truck sounds like you are driving on a road of rumble strips. When I called Sid to let him know about the problem and suggested that take my vehicle to another shop to have it fixed correctly right away because I can sympathize about his mechanics personal issues and give him the bill he said NO, I CAN'T DO THAT! He had me give my fiancé the phone and talked to him and then gave the phone to the mechanic. The mechanic claimed to have driven my truck from Edgerton to Madison and back and said it was fine. The mechanic said the only other thing that he can think of that would be an issue is the drive shaft!?! So at this point the truck is sitting on my driveway because I cannot afford for Sid or his mechanic to tamper with my vehicle anymore...and further more don't trust them! The kicker to all of this...not that the financial aspect and putting my children in possible danger wasn't bad enough...He told me that he would only talk to my fiancé...not me, the owner of the truck...the one that keeps paying him! In the midst of all of these in and out of the shop...I have spent about $1,300. I had to even write a letter of concern and personally hand it to Sid to get my vehicle "in" the shop at one point, because it was getting old driving by and seeing my truck parked in the same spot all the time with nothing being repaired and having to ask for receipts for what they "did." Please help!!Desired Settlement: I would either like a refund from Sid and/or for him to pay for another shop to actually repair my vehicle correctly.
