Sienna Plantation Aquatics (SPA) has been in immediate and continuous communication with the complainant about this issue both from the SPA Administrator and the [redacted]. Our meet signup policy (including associated fees) states that swimmers will be signed up for the recommended meets by...

default, and if a swimmer will not be attending a particular meet, the parent needs to remove them from the meet. We have determined this is the most efficient means of handling meet signups for our club. All matters regarding meet signups, account charges and payment processes have been communicated to the complainant. The fees which are the basis of his complaint are pass through charges SPA pays to the hosting swim club, and the complainant has agreed as a part of his swimmer's registration that such fees are non-refundable. The complainant agreed to payment processing when he registered his child as a swimmer and provided his payment information. He was made aware of the meet signup process at the mandatory parent meeting which he attended. It is also included in the club handbook, and he was provided emailed notice of the meet signup process which our system shows he opened. Additionally, for each upcoming meet, he is provided notice of such meet and meeting declination deadlines via email. Furthermore, the complainant has used this process to decline prior meets, so he is aware of how the process works. Finally, this is the same for all 100+ swimmers in the club. SPA has provided adequate communication, notice and opportunity for the complainant to avoid the fees of which he complains, and has so determined that no reimbursement of such fees is due or warranted.Thank you.
