Sierra Airstream Restoration

I have had my 1963 Airstream Globetrotter restored by [redacted] owner of Sierra Airstream Restoration in Minden nevada and my trailer leaks water when it rains...I called [redacted] and he will not return my call, I have emailed him and he replied w/ no answer or help he can do for me to fix it. I have paid him 57,000.00 + to restore my trailer and he will not stand behind his work and fix it, there may be other issues but have not fully inspected my trailer. [redacted]Desired Settlementhave him re-calk my trailer and test and triple check with water testing and meme sure the leaks are not there and clean and repair any water damage as needed to complete the job in full and water damage to fix as needed in trailer 100% sure of any leaks and damage by water Business Response this was a t&m project that takes many man hrs and money. it started out as a quick repair from his words and turned into a full long term project. this was a very abused and neglected trailer. that had never been taken care of and sold to [redacted] not from or by me .then he had other people work on it and made it even worse. then it was brought to me with the understanding it needed a minor plumbing repair.In the time when I could get to it because I was very booked out at that time.So I did fit him in anyway trying to be nice and helpful and work is work .Discovering that most the trailer was rotten and not working anything elect/plumb/cabinetry/applyances/ window repairs/ hardwear/brakes almost every thing needed to be addressed in one way or another .So as we got moving forward on the project there was issues with payments billing one amount and receving a less amount each time then. When the subject was brought up he became abusive in many ways as this project continued trying to do the right thing. then it was the cost remarks about every payment in the negative manor towards me and the trailer making me uncomfortable in proceeding to finish but I still kept working and putting out my money to fund this project. I have been a contractor and fabricator for over 40 yrs. with not any kind of a blemish on my record at any time .So the project came to a place where I felt comfortable to get it out of my shop because of his constent abuse and negativity .Its not my work its the fact that I stated to him I don't want to do anymore of your work. Take it to someone else if you have any issues I'm not responcible any more .Once it leaves my shop its not mine. I pointed out a few things I had not done. that I felt should be done. but not by me. I had it for close to 18 months it didn't leak when it was here or I wouldn't have finished the inside all the wood work and details to make it into a wonderful unit. But still negative and ungreatful of all the work and upgrades it went through to get it to where it is now after all the discounts and non billed hrs to try and make him happy and was he thankful NO.So I pointed out a few things I felt needed to be addressed .He left in the cold over the mts to his home in that travel things move around its 50 years old things happen I have told him this as well as they all need maintanence and care. Part of owning a classic Airstream they all leak but I don't feel this is the issue I feel its the window glass. I informed him it needed re-glazing witch I don't do .He's a bitter and very abusive guy who seemed like a nice guy but didn't turn out that way. I did return his call and e mails but he was so abusive I just desided to right him off. I was not or am not under any kind of contract or time frame with him at any time .So at that time exspressed to him again to find someone else to help him. I wasent willing to do so anymore .I will also send over some pic of before and after to vairifie conditions exscuse my spelling and computer skills thanks you [redacted] #[redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Sierra Airstream and [redacted] will not stand behind his work and will not fix any leaks in the trailer nor at this point will I let them..., his poor craftsman/work corner cutting' and quality are disgusting as lazy americans attitudes in hard times he wants to be like [redacted] and take advantage of good hard working people and screw over veterans of this country as if [redacted] thinks he has Diplomatic amenity" in all he has done on my 57,000.00 plus dollars I have sent him to restore my trailer to pristine condition as he promise he could do...... he quoted me 18,000.00 to fix it in the beginning, but has billed me 57,000.00 plus dollars and will not give me a completed bill of all the work that was done because he knows he will be fought in many lies and will be healed accountable by many courts....so I will take the trailer to [redacted] airstream and have them reseal the seams on the outside of the trailer and will bill sierra airstream for them to pay to have a real professional who stands by there work and will send sierra airstream the bill to pay to fix what they refuse do the right thing, sierra airstream and [redacted] both lie excessively to not stand behind there work and will say and do anything to not be a reptubable or an honest company to do business with... in fact there very abusive to have done business with and [redacted] is an un-honorable nasty man to do business with he continues to lie and tell the Revdex.com so many lies to do what ever it takes to not fix my leaking trailer, now after a few rains the sink counter is warping from water as well, so more he will be responsible for in costs to reimburse me to get fixed, [redacted] and sierra airstream are nasty people and lame business on this to deal with, I will be sending bills for them to pay to have my trailer fixed and corrected by real professional company like [redacted] airstream that will be an honorable company to do business with and stand behind there work which [redacted] and sierra airstream will not do....[redacted] is nothing more then a bully doing what it takes to not be standing by his work he brags so much about but refuses to stand behind ! [redacted] Final Consumer Response My trailer is at a 3rd party/ [redacted] Airstream company to be evaluated of where all the leaks are and will give me an estimate/ estimates to re-fix what was done incorrectly by sierra airstream... and estimates will be sent w/ in a week or so for sierra airstream to pay so this problem will be corrected and done....
