Review: Received poor quality products and was issued a bad refund check.

For reference: this complaint is for Sierra Carpet & Interiors at 4616 Enterprise Ct, Diamond Springs, CA XXXXX and the owner, [redacted]. After a month of dealing with [redacted] (the sales rep) and various samples of products, I decided to purchase natural acacia engineered hardwood and stair nosing. I ordered to product on 4.18.13 in the amount of $3,115.84 and paid with a mastercard. The hardwood and stair nosing was delivered the following week on Tuesday, 4.23.13 by [redacted] and another man to our new house in Cameron Park. Upon inspecting the hardwood, I noticed black filler in the hardwood. The joints in the stair nosing was poor/bad quality. The stair nosing was immediately refused and not accepted. [redacted] took the stair nosing with him when he left. The next day (4.24.13) I brought a few boards of the acacia to show [redacted] the black filler in the hardwood. She apologized for the bad product and agreed that it did not match the sample at all and would accept the return of all the hardwood. She also agreed that the stair nosing was of poor quality and said that she had never seen joints like that. [redacted] said that she would schedule to have the hardwood picked up and [redacted] or [redacted] (the owners) will give me a refund check. I asked why I couldn't just receive a credit on my mastercard and she said it would be easier to cut me a refund check. Later, she had called me to tell me that the company she purchased it from acknowledged the black streaks in the wood and their next shipment would not have the black streaks. She asked if I would be interested in looking at the next shipment of the same product and I told her no. I was only interested in a refund. On Thursday, 4.25.13, [redacted] and another man picked up the hardwood. On Monday, 4.29.13, I went to the showroom to pick up my refund check. [redacted] was out sick that day but [redacted] was there and he cut me a check on behalf of [redacted] and I immediately went to the bank to deposit it. On Saturday, 5.4.13, I received a letter from my bank notifying me of a non-sufficient funds check by Sierra Carpet. And I was charged a fee of $12.00. Desired Settlement: A legitimate refund for $3,127.84 (refund plus NSF charge of $12) in the form of a cashier's check OR a credit to my mastercard.
