Review: I am filing a complaint regarding a bill I received for my wife's care. I am her DOD Sponsor and also Retired USAF and am my wife's military sponsor. The total liability (charges) on the bill were $1975 (Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital) Total Payments or Discounts were ($100.24 (Insurance Discount), $1594.81 ([redacted] Payment to Provider as 1ST Insurer), and -$198.00 ([redacted] Payment to Provider as 2nd Insurer)for a total of $1893.00 in payments to the Hospital. $81.91 is the total left on the bill (HOWEVER [redacted] SAYS WE NOW OWE ZERO) as [redacted] STATEMENT (2ND INSURER) SAYS "PATIENT OWES PROVIDER:$0.00. Additional details:(1) Sierra Nev Mem Hospital has sent multiple bills stating that we owe $281.44. (2) I have spoken to the Hospital Billing Dept on 2 occasions, [redacted] on 5 Mar 14, and [redacted] on 31 Mar 14 866-626-6580. [redacted] stated that my bill would be corrected. [redacted] stated that my bill would be corrected and agreed that the balance on the bill was appx $80.00. (3) The $281.44 is the total left after payment of first insurer [redacted] and does not take into account the [redacted] payment, insurance discount, or the fact that [redacted] says I now own nothing. ([redacted] claim [redacted]) (4) Sierra Nev Mem Hospital added the insurance discount to the bill, rather than subtracting it.Desired Settlement: I would like Revdex.com to contact the Hospital and get them to agree that that I owe $0.00 as stated by [redacted] (2nd insurer). Hospital accepted [redacted] TERMS, when they accepted [redacted] payment. At this point I believe the Hospital billing knows that they have overcharged me and are trying to extract additional payment to which they are not entitled.

Thank you for letting us know of this billng issue. Our apologies to Mr. [redacted] for the frustration he and his wife have encoutered with their Hospital bill. Our goal is to provide excellent patient service and we acknowledge we did not meet that standard in this instance. Mr. [redacted] was correct in that after insurance payments, there was no patient responsibility for any balances. We have corrected the account to reflect a zero balance due. We will correspond with Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] directly with additional details.
