Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/10/11) */
In response to the complaint made against Sierra Pool Plastering:
First off during the prep process we did not use jack hammers we used small and light Dewalt chipping hammers.Minimal power and impact.
Secondly the concrete is Cool Deck not...

salt finish decking .
What is important about that is it can never be matched again which is what brings me to my solutions to this problem.
First I met home owner and her husband on a Saturday with my start up guy to verify the problem.
Out of my pocket I then decided to hire a leak detection company to find the leak so we knew where to start.
He found the leak approximately 15 inches behind the wall of the pool(keep in mind all I did was tile and replaster the pool while the broken pipe is concealed behind pool wall and covered by the deck).
We decided to take a section of concrete up ,make the repair and turn the area into a planter.
I sent a employee out there to start the work and called the homeowner to double check if this is the course of action that was acceptable. The homeowner said no and no matter what I was paying for all repairs even if it was not my fault .
We pulled off the job
At this point (which is very important)the home owner kicked her husband out of the house until repairs were made to the pool because he was the one who hired us and was trying to get her to be reasonable during the repair process.
I took many calls from him after hours because I felt bad for his situation.
Next I hired a pool plumber to go out and do the repairs .
He met with the homeowners and said he would tunnel under the concrete to not disturb the existing concrete and make the repairs and then suggest what caused the problem thus who should pay for the problem.Seemed fair enough so I was on board but once he was there and mentioned this to the homeowner he was asked to leave the property.
Next (a week later)the husband asked if the plumber would be willing to come back and proceed to the repairs.
He accommodated by moving his busy schedule to do so.
At nine o'clock that night he called to tell me to cancel because if we showed up there would be problems with her.We cancelled.
I have done everything I can to be fair and don't want to cheat anybody.
At this point I have no interest in putting my employees or colleagues in a bad situation.
I would like to get reimbursed for the $175.00 leak detection and $25.00 for bounced check fees.
