Autumn Run Down

Autumn Run Apartments Naperville is owned by Sierra Realty. Totally mismanaged. Place is run down, work orders take day/weeks to get fixed, there is mold in walls, they paint over mold with Kilz, hallways not being cleaned, are infested with spider webs and bugs. Piles of trash and bags of dog waste by dumpsters. Drive by and see for yourself.

My a/c unit went out so called in a ticket with the leasing officeAfter days someone showed upWhen the report was made it was the a/c were blowing out hot airNeedless to say after a hour day the issue was not fixedNot only was the air blowing hot, but it had been blowing for the entire length I were goneI walked in to my thermostat saying it was degrees in my sq ft aptI think that's where the thermostat caps out IT was so hot in there my deodorant in my bedroom had meltedInstantly I called the after hours emergency line since the house was unbearableAnd of course the windows do not stay open without help of an aidThe on call guy called and said there was nothing he can do and advised I open the windowOkay, coolBut how? The tallest thing I have to aid and withstand the window was maybe a bottle of seasoningInstead of offering to come fix the windows he yelled at meI advised I've made many calls in for my windows and never nothing came backI were even instructed once they ordered by windows, and the next person had no idea on what I was talking aboutSo needless to say, im standing in a baking apartment arguing about when service calls were made to fix my windows, and how he can show me the book, but cant fix the heating issueProfessional much??? Finally he says," you must've called when Mike was still the sup"I just stood there in complete shockFinally I packed up and just left for the nightHowever, they did fix the issue the next morningI am very grateful for thatSo I thought the concern was completedIt's in the past
I get into work and Sierra Realty calls me telling me I were completely in the wrong for wanting someone to come fix my issue as for it was not an emergency nor their issueWhen I tried explaining to Joan the place were completely unlivable, and I get it, it's a/c which isn't a concern at night, however the on call man were completely unprofessionalHim bringing up the work book during a concern has nothing to do or help with the issueShe said she disagrees and pretty much to get over itAgain, I do side with the company, it's not a situation, however I also feel if the location is made unlivible due to the staff it's a concern that needs to be handled in a timly matterThey could've said something such as " we will send someone first thing in the morning"Instead I was told I was the wrong one, and hung up on
Awful company, I will never rent from any of their properties again!

This company is a disgrace to property managers everywhere! Their office is completely understaff and the properties they manage suffer as a result of their incompetence. Their staff is full of excuses and does not take accountability for anything!
I lived in one of their properties from 2013-2016. The ONLY reason I stayed in this property this long is because moving was not financially feasible however after my recent experience I would rather be on the streets then go on living here.
My own personal experience dealt with a leak that I notified the office of immediately upon noticing it. In a year timeframe the leak was never repaired! As of today the leak STILL has not been repaired.
When I expressed my concern about the presence of mold they reluctantly performed a DIY mold test that detected mold. They provided my with some mold spray that was intended to treat the area however since the leak has not been repaired applying the mold spray is pointless.
They sent the mold sample to a lab, for what I thought was intended to determine the type of mold as well as the necessary treatment however the results were never received. When I asked the management to bring in a professional mold remediation they refused. The unit owner refused to repair the water damaged window frame and insisted there was no mold present, although the wooden frame was subjected to leaking water for a least a year they insisted there was no water damage just because there was no visible mold.
Furthermore they do not keep their facilities clean! There are several dogs in my building and the cleaning crew maybe comes by once a month. The common areas are always disgusting; mainly because the occupants are disgusting and don't clean up behind themselves but also because the building is not properly maintained. There was one month that every time I would enter the stairwell it was covered in urine. Yes you read that correct dog urine! And since the owner would not clean up after their pet the urine would remain in the stairwell until it air-dried.
I could go on and on about the horrors I experienced while living in this dump! Another example is that they do not fully disclose a lot of information! For example all residents have an access code to enter the front gate. You'd think this information would be provided when you move in but I wasn't even made aware that I had a code until I was unable to use my key in the frozen locks; one year after living here. Then the office deactivated that code without notifying me so my dog walker was unable to access my unit while I was traveling.
These are just a few of many complaints. If I had time I'd provide a more detailed account. All I can say is RENTER BEWARE!! For what they're charging in rent it's seriously over priced. I can't wait until my lease is up!!
