Sierra Structures, Inc Reviews (1)

On January 23 2014 a representative from the business told me that my fence final bill was $1,200. Today I was advised my $1,200 payment is $100 shortI contracted with Sierra Structures for them to move and build a fence on my property. The estimate, which is the only signed contract, was for $1,275. The work was completed with moderate satisfaction (the work site was left a mess upon completion. Countless unused building materials were left on my property to be disposed of). The work was completed on or about 1/22/14. On 1/23/14 at approximately 11:04am (substantiated by email correspondence to my fiance' advising her of the final cost) I was contacted by a representative of Sierra Structures. She advised me that the final bill was $1,200. I had previously remitted $650 as a deposit, and therefore sent an additional $550 to Sierra Sturctures. Cancelled checks (posted 1/09/14 and 1/29/14) will validate my timely payments. Today, a representative from Sierra Structures, a Ms. ** - no actual or last name given - advised me that my payment is $100 short. I remember vividly the first conversation stating with the business representative that the bill was $1,200 total, and that only $550 remained to pay the bill in full. If I did not speak with one of their employees, how else would I know that they charge 3% of the bill to pay over the phone (which is ridiculous)? I have yet to be served any sort of final bill "on paper," via email or postal mail, and thus the $1,200 stated verbally over the phone is the only notification I have received to advise me of the amount due. Therefore, from my perspective this is an example of Sierra Structures simply changing my amount due out of thin air. Upon speaking with ** today I was essentially called a liar when I advised her that a Sierra Structures employee advised me on 1/23/14 that my bill was $1,200. I have since requested that they send me an actual final bill on paper so that they cannot change my total bill out of thin air on another occasion. Additionally, given all of the unused fence product left behind on my property, I was surely charged for unnecessary materials. Desired SettlementI request that the final amount due remain what I was advised, $1,200, and that the contract remain complete and paid in full as had already been discussed between myself and the business.Business Response I have contacted Mr.[redacted] and this situation is resolved but that is no excuse for the problems that occurred. We do not want to infer that any customer is a liar and I have spoken to our staff about giving this impression. I do think this was a misunderstanding but we do not want to treat any customer this way. I spoke with Mr [redacted] today to make sure that we have resolved this situation. We did not respond to this Revdex.com inquiry as we were not notified until we received the email on March 6. [redacted], GM and CFO Sierra Structures, Inc.
